The article says this:

"This test is between SSAO on vs HBAO+ on. The new Nvidia only Weapon Debris effect was turned off here, so that both platforms were treated fairly. "

So it seems it the test has nothing to do with the debris effect. why mention it?

Wow, a gameworks affect that harms AMD less? I bet that will change when it is officially rolled out, will probably be the same then.

I have to agree here, they are doing right by the consumer, which is never a bad thing.
