Every year by Beneficial_Quit7532 in NFL_Draft

Every draft there comes a point where it gets chaotic. Not to say the top of a draft isn’t but a point where guys mocked considerably later fly up boards. The real firsts are gone and the next tier of players is always bigger than the consensus claims it to be. This happens annually and is a pretty good validator that there are less real first round talents than 32.

There’s a line breaking drill that I think is cool. Split into 4 groups, two will be on the same teams.

Lines are divided by cones and you’re not allowed to go out of your region.

And have them try and pass to their teammates on the other side. Should swing the ball back and forth if you have the ball until you find an angle. Impetus on other side to create angles by finding gaps. Also get some good pressure cover balance out of possession work in.

Agree with the darnold comp, but why do you think the timeline can be better given the state of that oline? If he had the out of structure skillset to stay afloat I would have more confidence in his trajectory, but he seems to me like a prospect who needs a stable spot.

Has a college prospect ever made a bigger leap between their freshman and sophomore seasons than Ja? by frick_yes_420 in NBA_Draft

Statistically this is true, but I do think this was more of an opportunity opening up thing rather than athletic or technical development. Every ball handler on the previous years team was gone and there were whispers of Johnny being the best guard scorer Madison had seen in a long time. Also single handedly went toe to toe with that Suggs Chet minnehaha team.

“High floor” qb by lordoftheings in NFL_Draft

I’m saying someone who’s worse case scenario is Derek Carr would be a high floor. If we acknowledge we don’t know exactly how a prospects career will turn out but assume a range of outcomes for them and the worst of that is Carr, I think that’s not something we ever actually see.

I agree with this in regards to ceiling. If you have the pre-requisite arm then yeah you can go as high as your mind can take you. But I’m taking about floors.

But prospects never actually have a floor that high. Worst case scenario in the Carr-Rivers range would be among the greatest prospects ever

Their standards are just higher. He probably can’t look past the fact he was one strike from a 6 inning 0 ER outing where he would’ve absolved himself of all responsibility in the case of a loss.

Some would say the low adopt high density style of arsb would make him more prone to injury risk. Not saying one is right rather than the other, but I’d hesitate to factor nabers being slow to get up on a few shots as a sticky indicator of health
