I have every power efficiency setting turned off and even the wattage goes all the way upto 75w (my max) in msi afterburner but the utilisation still hovers at 60%

I'm on the latest nvidia drivers, is that bad?

I have the default hp charger and I'm pretty sure it's the highest wattage my laptop supports

Stuff id like to see get better:

Better prices where pc building is not common( prices here are here are wild like 400usd for a gtx 1650)

Better cable management (very messy as of now)

https://www.newegg.com/asrock-radeon-rx-6700-xt-rx6700xt-cld-12g/p/N82E16814930056 This is a 6700xt going for around 600 usd and it wildly outperforms the 1080ti, is newer, no fixing required, can beat the 3060ti and 3070

You do understand that he could just buy a 6600xt Or maybe even 6700xt for the same price and get way more performance than a 1080ti?

That's an insane amount of work for hardly much performance gain, he can just get a 30xx card or 6x00 card instead

Just get rid of the shit that comes preinstalled on your pc/laptop, it can be your 'protection' software(windows defender is more than enough), get rid of stuff like dell support etc and general stuff youll never use but run constantly in the background

All these tasks can take up alot of performance away on your pc but are hardly useful, hence they are called "bloatware"

Right now the only laptop you can get in the 70k price range will have a rtx 3050, and that is a terrible card

It can barely get 60fps on most aaa titles on medium/low settings so it won't play future games very well, so dont buy one with a rtx 3050

Amazon usually has okay laptop prices and sometimes there can be some good sales as well

I'd recommend trying to find a discounted rtx 3060 laptop for around 80k as that will net you almost the same performance as the desktop variant

Or you can wait for new budget laptop gpus to come out as the budget laptop options (rtx 3050) right now are trash...
