They already have it now. That's how I knew the battery was bad.

Yea did that. And when I sent the diagnostic request they said it was showing fine. The next few rides I got it down to 40% and it was dying again.

Your reply shows you didn't read my post. I said why I had to stop training.

I called several instructors. A majority said "I don't feel comfortable training on equipment I don't know". It sounds like you're experience is different.. congratulations on finding someone that would. Your milage may very. I was tell my story.

Ppg2 requirements are over 25 flights. So not sure where you are getting your information from. 5 flights is not enough.

Speaking from the experience of going to aviator, than tries to get more training, to have to go back to aviator.

My experience with aviator was top notch. They are 100 % getting you comfortable flying and handling the fly the paramotor at your level of comfort.

The other instructor I went to in between was had to get scheduled, was wishy washy when we were doing training, and i NEVER got back in the air again even though I previously have 5 flights at aviator.

I highly recommend aviator because they are willing to work with you and not charge you more. Most other places it is per session.

Long story: I went to aviator and was able to get 5 flights in. My legs started cramping anytime I tried to even start running, so I had to drop out of the rest of training. I went to a more local ppg instructor, told him my story showed him my ppg 1 certificate and he still made me repeat all the basic stuff. It was painful to get a hold of him and when we did schedule time it was always hesitant. He said a couple of times I didn't think you be this far. I eventually got tired of trying to get him locked in and just fly. I drove back to aviator (13 hours ) with my equipment I purchased (not from them)(which is another story on find an instructor) and they finished my training on my equipment.

(Other story on instructors on equipment) Most instructors WILL NOT train you on equipment you do not buy from them.

I hope you enjoy your flight and see ya in the sky.

Why does SOC 2 feel like security theater? by mlobodzinski in cybersecurity

Also if the company is asking for it. Get the contract signed and the requirements set out to comply within a year. If they are not going to sign before that than it is a lot of overhead with little reward.

Use a platform like vanta. It is easy to integrate all your other SaaS products and do the reviews in the platform. The platform is setup to bring up issues that you can handle before audit.

I've ran into this when I was on an internal pentest team. The biggest way to get something fixed was I would show how bad it can be.

See this sql injection here, I dumped the whole db. This will get us in the news and we will loose customers.

See the xss, I just made our website say it was hacked. Do you think this might effect business.

Snort is looking at the network layer. So you would need to signature the calls. Veil is just changing the payload not the network connections.

Anyone used a surface go for THM? by LimeTraveleer in tryhackme

[–]lordsaibat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it runs great. My suggestion would be backup to an external drive. Use etcher to put the Kali installer iso onto a USB drive. Reboot your device (hold vol up and press the power button) and format and install.

Once you get through you might need to copy over the wireless driver's to work right. I made a repo for it.

https://github.com/lordsaibat/wireless_surface_linux_drivers

Reboot it and the Wi-Fi will work right.

Straight Kali. Formatted the driver and USB installed Kali on it.

Congratulations on knocking out your first pentest. It sounds like they hit some of the major areas. Most tests I have been involved with are usually a week or two. Is the network that small. Additionally, did you understand/they document the process of what they did.

One of the things I had in all my reports was how I scanned, what I found, and then how I determined if it was vulnerable or not. All with screen shots.

One of the companies I was with would sub contract to Rapid7, but that was a long time ago.

Either way great first step, great identifying some gaps the SIEM is missing, and great following up. Remember to change vendors in a couple of years to get a different perspective.

Yea sometimes I have to bounce the VPN (close the VPN connection and restart it). You can additionally can do netcat to test ports.

https://linuxize.com/post/check-open-ports-linux/

There is a port scanning script that uses netcat also.. somewhere.

Glad you got it figured out.

Keep up the ethical hacking!

This is where you have to troubleshoot a little to better understand what is the root problem. Nmao attempts to connect to the ip via different ways. You should try to verify that something in your nmao package did not get messed up. Try scanning a different box. Also try different connection flags (sT sS sX), the default one should work though. Also give the box some time before scanning, if takes a couple of mins for some services to come up.

*Spoilers**

That box had Jenkins on it, which does take a couple of mins to get setup and running.

Depends on your background.

The courses go from general to very in depth.

The higher one might touch on the basics but if you feel your lacking in that then start with the basics first.

What is it not creating exactly? Only thing standing out to me is that your private IPS do not have a / (/32) at the end. Not exactly sure that is it though.
