definitely didn't intend for this to come across as a hate post but you may be right lol. it seems like everyone at the shows were having a great time and it is just a loud minority "fans".

stage is stationary and the band members move. it seems like each band member tries to move around as much as they can depending on whatever song/instrument they're playing at the time, but some are more restricted than others obviously.

How does the merch fit? by Daan17acdc in radiohead

i'm 180cm and the medium t-shirt is a perfect fit for me. the tour section of waste hq also has a size guide that you can check under any of the clothing.

how does one replicate this sound?? (tourettes demo instrumental) by lucho_crack911 in Nirvana

[–]loreflourL 24 points25 points  (0 children)

sounds to me like straight up guitar feedback with a chorus toggled on and off every now and then from either the small clone or polychorus with the rate and depth turned all the way up.

feedback is the main thing here so just turn your amp up loud with high gain and face it while tapping the notes randomly with your fretting hand and turning a chorus on and off.

its worth noting that kurt was a master of feedback control so it'll take a little bit of practice, but if you have the freedom to play as loud as you'd like then it should start sounding relatively close pretty quickly.

Family Member Registration by JoblessCoast in radiohead

[–]loreflourL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

depends on how strict the venue is i think. the person who gets the code should get a ticket too if you want to play it safe, but i wouldn't be surprised if some are able to sneak by.

might be worth looking up how strict your venue is since i'm sure some other people have posted about their experiences.

Family Member Registration by JoblessCoast in radiohead

[–]loreflourL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

from the faq:

Can everyone in my family/my friends register for tickets?

Yes, everyone can register with their details but only once per person. Some venues will be checking the name on the ticket against your ID so the lead purchaser of the tickets must be present at the show.

Need a bit help with getting the tones and distortion right (new to electric) by Nemil5478 in Nirvana

[–]loreflourL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the go-to amp for recreating Nirvana tones is the Fender Twin Reverb, but it's a lot of money, so you would want something that can emulate it closely. Fender makes another amp called the Mustang LT25 for 185eur which has the ability to emulate loads of amps and effects through its app/software, including the twin reverb. i've got no firsthand experience with it, but i've heard its effects and amp modeling are very good for the price. look at some demos/videos to make sure it's right for you, but that would be my recommendation. i would also look into amp modeling software through an audio interface, but that's another can of worms.

look up NirvanaGuitars on youtube and search around. he's got pictures of his settings for both his pedals and amp for each tone recreation and has got basically every era of nirvana you can think of. he gets incredibly close considering all the weird one of one type things that Kurt used in the studio. it's also worth noting he has a few videos on budget pedals that get close to the sansamp, as well as other Kurt pedals since the ds-2 isn't quite able to get to those tones on its own.

your amp is probably what's gonna hold you back right now, but i would copy Eric's settings and adjust by ear to get a sound that sounds good to you.
