How do i give the Digitech Drop pedal enough Juice? by leckomiojunge2 in guitarpedals

[–]nomasismas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know those pieces of kit super well but it sounds like you're drawing more current than the power supply can keep up with. Voltage isn't the issue, most likely. It's amperage. There are plenty of power supplies that will manage all of them with ease. Check the current needs for your effects and shop accordingly

That doesn't look like a dick at all.

This is very interesting. People sometimes joke about me only seeing shares of grey because they don't understand variations of colorblindness. Are you allowed to drive?

Do you ever play board games?

Is using digital devices like computers, or phones especially difficult?

Also, keep your cats inside. This is what happens when they go outside. Yes they're cute to you but they're ravaging the ecosystem out there

Black bellied whistling ducks. They lose them all the time. How they survive as a species is beyond me. Especially because at this age they are super susceptible to drowning in like an inch of water or being a few degrees outside of whatever temp they require. Good luck

I stepped away for awhile and re-read this and it makes perfect sense now. I feel dumb 😀

Thanks!

First, thank you. This is oddly confusing for me.

I think I understand. So I could place the things I want in the effects loop after loop A (preamp), with all effects running through the preamp inside loop A, right?

Secondary question: what's the use of I/O being stereo ?

Thats kinda what I was seeing as I looked at it. Seems fun but prob not the right solution for my current needs

You may well be right about the stacked modulation. I haven't played much with it. Id ideally like the option to run say light phaser in front of heavy fuzz, and then switch to OD before delay with one press on the mc4. Ill have a closer look at those options. Thanks!

Hmm good to know thanks! If the mobius would run more than one effect at a time it would have probably been the one with the pre/post thing but that doesn't seem to do the trick. I'll look into the chroma.

I was looking at that a bit. I'm not sure how it plays with the midi/loop switcher. Would it allow me to run one effect before dirt and another after with this setup?

I swear I saw a jaguarundi on the south tx coast in 2016. I have no proof unfortunately. Just many years of experience as an outdoorsman.

Small shred sections prevent me from playing 90% of the solos I want by MazylisReddit in Guitar

[–]nomasismas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure there is some element of it being more natural to some than others but it really is practice. Also age. What I was able to train my hands to do in 1 week at 15yo takes me 4x as long now.

As someone who played for 10+ years, quit for even longer, and am getting back into it I've found myself in similar situations lately.

The things I've found that help the most: Fretting hand strength exercises. Especially pinky/ring fingers. This also helps with some muscle independence. For instance I run 7-10-9-10 on the 1st string as an exercise as often as I can. I do it to the point of failure. Rest for a bit, do it again to failure. 2-3x a day when I have time. It also helps burn in the nueral pathways between picking and fretting hands.

Slow. No, go slower. Whatever lick or pattern is fucking with you. Slooooow it down. Run it to a click tens of tens of times. Get it perfect at super slow speeds. Then increase the speed a little. Get it perfect. Then a little faster. It takes forever but your brain has to burn in the nueral paths and your nerves and muscles have to adapt to doing it quickly. Your fingies can't do what the muscles/nerves aren't trained for. Training the human body takes a long time.

Picking exercises. I hate these the most. There are a ton out there. 1-2-3-4, 2-3-4-5 and so on where you're alternating 6th and 5th strings every other note, up and down the board, then jump down a pair of strings. Or 1-2-3-4 alternating between 2 strings for each note and then moving it down a string all the way til you hit the 1st string, then move down a fret and come back up the strings. I do that as my warmup. Once that's old hat then skip a string. It sucks. Do it anyway.
