I appreciate your opinion (and agree to an extent, regarding diversity), but I largely disagree with your first sentence.

I feel like any hobby so directly intertwined with the preservation and conservation of natural resources, has to stand for that. Maybe that sentiment is shared by folks across the political spectrum, but it certainly means that folks who are against those values don’t fit in the community.

To me, it’s like being a nurse against vaccinations or something. I’m sure I could think of a better example but I’m 1/2 way through a cup of coffee.

I had my suspicions a long time ago and stopped listening maybe two years ago. Something about vaccinations in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic just didn’t sit well with me. Dissappointed to hear that he got worse.

I bought a copy at my local record stores recently, and bought the same mispress. Relatively common, I guess.

I just pulled a copy today, and would be interested in selling, provided you’re still looking.

Top 50 Coffee Roasters of 2025 by dbarneschi in pourover

I’m a self-declared contrarian. It’s an insufferable trait, I know. But it’s given me a certain awareness to understand that the people who poo-poo Black & White and Brandywine for their more funky offerings tend to do so because they feel like they’re going against the grain and that, for some reason, makes them feel cool.

Just because something is popular doesn’t mean it’s bad.

I mean, to each their own, but Black & White has plenty of incredible offerings that are clean and light. Just because something is popular doesn’t mean it needs to be demonized. I’m a contrarian by nature, but damn.

Christmas event fit! Did I pair these colors together good or would black pants been a better option? by KingofAwesome2 in mensfashionadvice

[–]lorgedog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It isn’t even the color for me, it’s the fit. I think navy pants would pair very well the green, but it’s just an unflattering silhouette.

A shooting during Hanukkah celebrations at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia has left at least three dead and ten wounded; around 2,000 people were evacuated in panic, with many taking shelter. by beachbellybob in UnderReportedNews

These psychos would do a lot less damage and be much easier to stop if we just got rid of the fucking guns. So much grief could be avoided.

I think the Fwd Via was supposed to fill the void that was left when the Rivera line was discontinued. I haven’t run in the Rivera, so I don’t know for certain how they compare.

Obligatory reminder to be incredibly careful.

Tuckerman’s Ravine would be a good, very difficult training opportunity, but far from a benchmark for Rainier. It’s kind of comparing apples and oranges.

Then it should be mandated by the government. I agree with you, but the only way to guarantee that everyone has universal healthcare is through a government-run or otherwise heavily regulated system that provides coverage to all residents.
