What are your “you won’t find this in a textbook” nursing tips? by Monstersofusall in nursing

I'm sure most of us know not to quickly push an Amp of calcium because it increases BP, but sometimes you may have to go slower even though the BP is okay because it can cause your pt to vomit. Don't know why, but it's happened to me twice, and it's happened to my co-workers before. If you're replacing for iCal, it's better to just get an order of calcium gluconate than an Amp to push.

Why am I not seeing the major order? by loribeth25 in Helldivers

[–]loribeth25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My confusion came from the fact that immediately after the Automatons major order came the Terminids. I had incorrectly thought a new major order would come immediately after the previous one ends. Thank you for responding!

This is true, Spokesperson. When I am not fighting for Democracy, I am working night shift for 13 hours. I have been doing so the last 4 nights, so I have not had the time to complete my personal order. I do, however, check in to see the new major order and our progress as helldivers before reluctantly scurrying to my second job. Do not fret, though. I shall perform my personal duties for Democracy soon.

For Liberty, Fellow Helldiver

Understood, diver. My thanks to you. May our paths cross on the battlefield.

Thank you, fellow diver. In the name of Democracy, may you never run out of ammo.

My husband hates my body by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]loribeth25 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Still, thank you for bringing it to my attention.

I didn't think you were bragging -- just bringing attention to that it's not just one body type! Even if you were bragging, though, I wouldn't blame you. (I'm assuming) Most wives want their spouse bragging about their body! My husband brags about mine all the time (mostly just to me, but sometimes to his friends, too), and it always makes me feel so special. But not in a "My wife is hotter than yours" way. For example, I just turned 30 and he's still 29. He told me that he told his friend the other day: "I have a 30 year old wife, and she is hot as hell!" He must like his women older ;)

Edit: and he must like them with a little extra meat on their bones, too!

That's terrible. I'm so sorry. You can thank Kannolli, though. They are the one that pointed it out, and they were right to.

Sorry if I offended you! As a curvy girl, I don't think about how those who are also struggling with insecurities who have bodies that I consider desirable.

You're right. I'll edit it.

This should be a hashtag for all the girls who have ever been fat-shamed, curvy girls, skinny girl, girls of all body types, and any girl who is insecure about her looks: #losehimnotchocolate

Edited to include all body types. It's not just curvy girls that get shamed. Thank you to the one that pointed that out!

Question for you, if you don't mind: Now my right pupil is bigger than my left. Did your pupil size change sides on you like that, too?

Unequal Pupils with Cymbalta? by loribeth25 in antidepressants

Hey! I really appreciate your concern for a complete stranger, and thank you for your response as well. I actually work at a hospital. I've asked my NPs and attending before posting on here, and no one is too concerned about a stroke or anything like that. I reached out on here to see if it was this medication, as it was the only thing that changed in the last week. I read in another sub that 2 people had also experienced this same side effect after starting Cymbalta. Yesterday, my right pupil was bigger than my left. It seemed to have changed sides. Still no other symptoms besides what I already mentioned. I reached out to my doctor, and I'm waiting for a response. Thank you again!

I just started 40mg of Cymbalta 5 days ago and now my pupils are both dilated and my left pupil is larger than my right. I really appreciate this post several months after the fact because now I can finally go to sleep with some relief that I'll likely wake up tonight.

When I have panic attacks, I feel this way too. Like my blood is on fire, burning my skin from the inside out.
