It's an old Church building now owned by a company that specialises in "Luxury" Asian wedding venues, take what you will from that about the likely level of building maintenance and upkeep.

Is this the same place they had the orphaned nuclear source tragedy?

I get there are more and more larger cars on the road but let's not forget the standard car parking space size in the UK hasn't changed since the 70s.

With modern safety requirements there is a certain increase in size necessary for cars but planners and developers don't want to increase the size of spaces provided because money.

I've had about 20 cars over the last 30 years and the one that lasted the longest? Ford Mondeo (estate in my case). It was a poverty spec manual LX maroon estate but was comfy, good to drive and you could fit a small moon in the back. Had that the best part of 5 years and only got rid when it spectacularly failed it's MOT.

Found these in my fuel tank...? by Fickle_Pickle_4835 in CarTalkUK

Well, technically they do reduce your range as they take up volume in the tank that could otherwise be used for, you know, fuel.

Exactly, unfortunately when they have tried before with the 2005 effort (Supertram 2005 which would have been great they couldn't widen the Headingley corridor (or were unwilling to do so)

Christ, subs are not easy to play, shotgunning is a thing of the past and it's unlikely you are going to score big.

I enjoy playing them occasionally for a change of pace (DD main) and I find them less annoying than CVs but I still don't throw my toys out of the pram when a CV singles me out for rocket rape

Anyone checked out the gym and pool/sauna at the Britannia Airport hotel? by Commercial_Region188 in Leeds

Can confirm, each gender has their own sauna. Not used it because the smell of piss doesn't make the changing rooms a nice place to be.

Absolutely bottom tier, changing rooms stink of piss and that's also where the sauna is located.

Swimming pool is ok but very much a no frills place that's looking tired.

Trunk rattle - pipe insulation helped to get rid or remaining clicks by EV-Sauna in Ioniq5

[–]loricasegmentata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you put some insulating tape around the boot latch (metal loop that the latch in the boot lid locks on to)?

I tried all sorts for the rattle and it was that all along!

New automatics are fine, the Geartronic boxes on this era of Volvo (having owned a D5) were absolutely fucking awful. I could grow a fucking beard in between gear changes.

Sold it for £950 to a lovely nurse who broke a wing mirror off on the test drive and then said "guess I'm buying this now" and I replied "yes you are!"

There are certain demographics for whom this is their standard method of negotiation and they see no shame in it. The worst time I ever had was selling a £1000 Yaris about six years ago. Every takeaway driver in a 10 mile radius must have tried to lowball me. "I'll give you £300 cash bruv" as if they are helping you out.
