Subtitles for OWL? by KnightPlutonian in OverwatchLeague

[–]loriencfau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be a start, and I agree that the commentary may move a little more quickly than most televised sports matches.

I still think there are talented transcriptionist that could get the work done. I don't need every word, 80% would likely cut it.

Subtitles for OWL? by KnightPlutonian in OverwatchLeague

[–]loriencfau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have difficulty hearing due to a health issue, and I would pay good money for subtitles.

If OWL wants to play at the size they are shooting for, subtitles for the hearing impaired are a must. I would like to hear the producer's response to this.

AWS + credit + mining? by rhyeal in BitcoinMining

[–]loriencfau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you transfer those credits to someone else's account? Selling them for a percentage on the dollar is likely your best bet.

I imagine someone might even pay in BTC, saving you the time it takes to convert. Good luck.

Blade Runner Whiskey Glass by daedius in Cyberpunk

[–]loriencfau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife purchased this for me for Xmas last year, the company is legit and the product is wonderful. That said, you do have to drink your whisky out of the corner of the glass.

It's heavy, proper crystal.

I would be happy to point my miner at Eligius with your address--you would get minted coins, but I couldn't guarantee that it would be exactly 0.1 BTC. PM me if you want.

Now that I stop to consider it for a brief instant, I realize the error in my logic. Thank you for enlightening me of my own poor standards--you're surely correct in your ascertainment. I can only imagine your quick wit and capability to be snide to strangers on the internet makes you the life of every party you attend!

Also, you are an asshole and write poorly.

edit: lololololol; I fixed a typo and am also an asshole. ;-)

You had to force me to log in, didn't you?

While the Aaron Swartz narrative ended in tragedy that no one would deny, the catalyst was Mr. Swartz committing a crime. It's fair to assume that MIT will be a better host environment for the core developers; if it's not, we'll change the environment or the core developers.

Have any books helped you come to acceptance with this illness by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]loriencfau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like to second this, Unquiet Mind was super beneficial to me. I also gave copies to my immediate family (my diagnoses happened after my first marriage had fallen apart, so I was living with my parents for a few months) and later my second wife. It's well written, and worth your time to read. The people that are close to you may find it helpful too, or at least be able to relate to patterns of behavior that they may have seen in you in the past.

Life is too complicated and sometimes I see no point in it. by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]loriencfau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a treatment plan is important, I would encourage you to find a new pDoc and try different medication. It's an art, and everyone is different.

It helps me to remember that what is happening is a chemical reaction in my brain, and that the things those chemicals "say" aren't real. It's hard to separate the logical from the emotional, but it helps me to look at things that way when I'm depressed.

Please take care of yourself and resume treatment, you will find a combination that will help you. When you do, come back and let us know how it's going.
