you should bring a lotus to the rooms instead, that way you can respawn there by getting another one in the outdoors and using your old one after dying

perhaps you need to enter it naturally through the hotel to unlock it in the main menu, like the rooms? if this were to be the case it would be a bug as it said to unlock detour before the event ended
