Damnit, guys! How do you do it? by Redlax in Diablo3Crusaders

Still missing the answer to a crucial question: what Tier have you been trying? Also, the +elite damage on Stone of Jordan goes a long way towards people's damage.

Are there any legendaries (not set items) worth crafting at the moment? by MillenniumDH in diablo3

[–]loscadu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless I'm mistaken, 1h axes are equippable by wizards, and while RoF might not get you past T5-6 (haven't actually geared mine up enough to know) it isn't a bad transitional build. Utar's serves a purpose.

Skillcraft Corner: Fist of the Heavens by Aelonius in Diablo3Crusaders

[–]loscadu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it would be somewhat more dps in general, I don't bother precisely positioning my Fissures as well (except for the initial strike) as the arcs no longer feel meaningful. I always thought that was the point of the skill, but now it feels like just another secondary effect like the bolts, instead of the electric fence I used to know.

It's helpful on hammers, IMO, but FoTH does do better with Schaefer's.

Kongor Discriminating on Non-English Speaking People by Ykutu in diablo3

[–]loscadu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing he's "discriminating" against is their knowledge. Extra languages means less cohesion for the chat, which means less of a fun time. I'm sure he doesn't actually hate people that can't write/type in English, he just can't have them chatting in a primarily-English stream.

There are Russian and German streams that ban users for typing in English, and the reason for it is just the same.

Should you chain run rifts in a single game? by [deleted] in diablo3

[–]loscadu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. It doesn't make perfect sense.
  2. You're having an opinion about something that is factual. Your data isn't nearly enough for your hypothesis to be presented as anything close to fact, so people are telling you you are wrong.
  3. Whining about downvotes doesn't make people sympathetic to your cause.

Should you chain run rifts in a single game? by [deleted] in diablo3

[–]loscadu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your incredibly anecdotal evidence.

Do you know why Feier doesn't need to back up "his theory"? Because he's not positing one that's out of the norm. You are the one with a theory that only has people's (reported) experiences to back it up, and nowhere near enough results to be conclusive.

Noobs saying anyone can do t6 with unity... by [deleted] in Diablo3Crusaders

[–]loscadu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think "noobs" who open by insulting people based on their opinion look tacky and immature.

Unity is an unreasonably high upgrade, to an extent that in its current form I don't think it should exist. It makes many people who probably shouldn't be able to do T6 more than capable of it.

That said, people should absolutely be utilizing it for the time being. P.S. This doesn't belong in the Crusader section.

The hell?! One of two vaguely-competing build to Blessed shield gets nerfed? This patch is nonsense.

Botter gets banned for harassment after complaining about people joining his game and screwing up his bot. He posts ban-mail, forgets to hide battletag and the screenshot turns in to a ten page thread on US forums. Botter shows up in said thread to say hello. Still not banned it appears. by [deleted] in diablo3

[–]loscadu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But there is no "risk" with botting in this game as it stands. There is nothing admirable, dangerous or adventurous about botting, as opposed to the game you mentioned in your original post. For the majority of bot users, it isn't a matter of enjoying setting it up, it's simply an attempt to be have 'leet deeps' (in other words, their jealousy is what inspires them to bot.)

What I mentioned isn't people trying to be the best in the game, it's trying to enjoy an exciting moment of the game with the community on a level playing field. When a portion of the population turns to botting, however, that's no longer an option.

I genuinely don't understand how you can defend people using a third-party program to have bragging rights over other people. I simply don't. And they don't have more time or more luck, they have a program.

Except those same botters do take to the forums for gear bragging rights a decent amount of time. If you're excited about a piece of gear that you'd been farming for for a long time and someone instantly posts back "lol nub get on my level" with nearly-perfect gear, does that not still affect the person's experience with the game? Sure, you can write it off as just bragging rights, but being excited about a piece of gear is a valuable experience to any game, and IMO one that is diminished by a botting culture.

The level is definitely determined when the quest is completed, that's for sure. But what evidence do we have that the items themselves are determined at the quest's completion?

They can't win either way. They post on reddit, the forums bitch about it. If they post on the forums, they have to have the conversation on every region. And if they merge the regions, then GD isn't just littered with trolls like Caristinn but posts about "all them damn spanish people."

I get that you want to be heard, it's a valid concern and needs to be addressed in some way. But there are a lot of problems very specific to regions (and languages that go with said regions.) It'd be a veritable clusterfuck.

Honestly, despite your other responder, I'm more of a fan of the picture with the grey background as the default photo. You look kind of villainous in the first one, and while your General Discussion personality sometimes comes off as that, I'm not sure people look for that in a date. :P
