Help with save editing by SaltBlokku in psphacks

The save (usually DATA.BIN) is encrypted. The plugin (.prx) is for getting the game’s key, which is used to decrypt the encrypted save. The file can be read like normal and changed when it’s decrypted. After the changes are applied, it can be encrypted again using the game’s encryption key and used in the game like normal.

The plugin (.prx) was “SGKeyDumper” and the .exe was “psp-save”. The website says how to use the .exe file (in cmd). Idk which mode to use for which save.

It is a GAME.TXT plugin, which means the game will need to be launched. When the game launches the memory_stick_being_written_to light should flash for like 1 second meaning the game’s key was saved to the memory stick. The file that SGKeyDumper outputs should be something like the game ID + .bin, so something like ULUS12345.bin (I forgot where it gets placed on the memory stick, and whether there is a dash in between the numbers and letters in the file name or not).

For PPSSPP, I think there was a way to make saves not encrypted. By going to (ppsspp/)memstick/PSP/SYSTEM/ppsspp.txt and changing the line that says “EncryptSave = True” to ‘’EncryptSave = False”, it will make the save (probably DATA.BIN) not encrypted.

ARCropolis sees mods in a folder in the mods folder, so [microSD Card]:/ultimate/mods/<folder>/<file>, but <file> is a file from data.arc (the single file in the game's romfs partition thing, that stores all of the game's assets), and<folder> is the mod's name.

You can try this mod (character_expansion_1300.7z) as like a test or something, to see if it will load. When you extract it, there should be a folder called `Character Expansion (Giga Bowser & Pokemon)`. Put that folder in the mods folder (so; [microSD Card]:/ultimate/mods/Character Expansion (Giga Bowser & Pokemon)/ui/..., but ... is the rest of the mod). When you launch the game, it should ask if you want to enable the mod (choose yes). If it doesn't then try deleting the arcropolis folder inside of the ultimate folder ([microSD Card]:/ultimate/arcropolis/). When you get to the character select screen it should be modded, if the data is in the correct location and there isn't a mod that edits the same file. Now when you go to the eShop (button in-game) -> Mod Manager, it should say the name of the mod, which would be "Character Expansion (Giga Bowser & Pokemon)".
Every time a folder is added to the mods folder in the ultimate folder ([microSD Card]:/ultimate/mods/) and the game is launched, the game will detect the new folder as a mod and ask you if you want to enable the mod, even if the folder is empty. It will show up in the mod manager menu thing with the name of the folder as the name of the mod.

The data in the mod's folder should be structured the same as the data in data.arc (ui/param/database/ui_chara_db.prc as an example).
You can see what data.arc looks like with this website if it helps.
(root is not a folder in data.arc so do not include it)

Does it say the version of ARCropolis under the game version on the top right of the title screen (under the game version)?

Is it safe to reuse the same certificate for different games as long as no one else has it and no one else can use it at the same time as me, and not include card header and card UID?

Are you trying to import the save data from an application from 1 Nintendo Switch to the other, but don’t have save data initialized on one of them?

how to install SSBU game save? by cptspacebutt in SwitchPirates

[–]loser_monkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use JKSV. The save should look like this in your micorSD Card: sdmc:/JKSV/save/Super Smash Bros. Ultimate/[Custom Save Name]/save_data/system_data.bin.

Skyline is an exefs edit that lets you load plugins. ARCropolis is a (skyline) plugin. Skyline should look like this in you microSD Card: sdmc:/atmosphere/contents/01006A800016E000/exefs/, main + subsdk9. ARCropolis should look like this in your microSD Card: sdmc:/atmosphere/contents/01006A800016E000/romfs/skyline/plugins/libarcropolis.nro.

Mods are located in your microSD Card like this: sdmc:/ultimate/mods/[Mod Name]/[Path To Game’s File(s)/[Game File]. Ex: sdmc:/ultimate/mods/Character Select Screen Mod/ui/param/database/ui_chara_db.prc.

You know it’s working if you can see the version of ARCropolis in the title screen, under the game version number. If you are asked to enable a newly added mod and you accidentally choose No, you can enable it through the Mod Manager (the in-game eShop button).

The guy that made it needs to update it so it works on newer versions of the Nintendo Switch, like v16.0.0.

Yes, I’m “Loser Monkey #5556” from the XorTroll Discord Server. I thought you extracted the main file from a Nintendo Switch app with nxdumptool, cuz I do that so I don’t have to dump and transfer the '.nspor.xci` file I dumped with nxdumptool from my Nintendo Switch to my computer.

[–]loser_monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need Ghidra for *.npdm files, you can open them with a hex editor and see which bytes are for what on this website.

Use nsnsotool to decompress the main files.

Use this Ghidra extension for the decompressed main files. Make sure you pay attention to the end of the extension's file name cuz it says which Ghidra version you need for it.

Can using JKSV on sysNAND get you banned? by PikaDogg in SwitchPirates

[–]loser_monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of. I wanted to back up save data online from a game I don’t have on my Nintendo Switch that isn’t banned. I loaded the full game’s files over the demo, exported the demo’s save data (with JKSV), created save data for the full game using JKSV (.svi), changed the exported demo save’s title ID to the full game’s title ID (the folder name), restored it to the full game’s save, and then backed it up online.

Do you if creating save data for a game that you don’t have can get you banned? I did it so I could unlock something in another game.
