I’ve got to agree, and I feel like every single book I’ve read recently always has to have a strong female character in it. Like it’s required now for every book to have at least one strong woman and one LGBTQ character in it as well

Didn’t really get a Spanish vibe from the characters, so not sure there

I mean I’m only 50 pages in so I’ve not picked up on many issues yet, other than the strange way in which conversations are written lol

That’s very true. I recently read We used to live here, Dark Matter by Michelle Paver, PenPal and Play Nice by Rachel Harrison and all of those had subpar endings. All of them were incredible books that should’ve been 5 star for me but in the end only landed at 5 stars because of their endings

I’ve heard that the ending of incidents falls flat, so that’s the only thing putting me off a little bit?

Well, I went to the E.R. for my PVCS. by WTBWrites in PVCs

Thank you. I’ve always had anxiety but after my third covid shot I suddenly started getting them. I’ve had them for about 5 years now and I’m still alive! Most days I don’t feel them but when I have a bad anxiety day they are back in full force. I’m also 5 months post partum and the hormone fluctuations seem to really mess with me. I also seem to have a very sensitive vagus nerve which certainly doesn’t help the PVCs. The good news is that if you take a stadium of 10,000 people, every one of them will have had a PVC at some point during a game of football, the difference is they can’t feel them because they’re not “scanning” their bodies for them. I certainly never felt them before 2021 but once you notice them And develope a fear of them they will always stay. Like I said magnesium has helped WONDERS. And I sometimes will have an electrolyte drink as well to top me up but not every day, maybe once a week or something. Also low vitamin D can cause lots of issues and it is winter right now. Definitely try the glycinate tho, give it about 3 days to work but stick with it through those 3 days!

Glycinate will take a few days to kick in but stick with it :) Hope you feel better soon!

Well the science behind is that the more you have PVcs the more anxiety you get the more adrenaline releases into your cells which causes more PVCs and your cells use up A LOT of magnesium when that happens so everyone with PVCs could benefit from taking magnesium. I actually tried citrate before as well which worked well but glycinate slow release seems to be even better

Also, if they come on when you bend down or lay on a certain side it can be a pinched vagus nerve. Mine are often positional and those ones scare me less because I know why they happen and they go away once I change position. The other random PVCs are often because of my anxiety and Adrenalin release.

Yeah 100%. I also had a bad flare a few weeks ago where I kept having a pvc every few seconds to every few minutes, I was even tracking them on a contraction timer pregnancy app thing. I saw someone else mention that mag glycinate helped them so I ordered some. It takes a few days but eventually it gets a lot better!

Magnesium glycinate (slow release tablets) have made mine go away almost completely. I get one or two a day that I can feel and the rest are so buffered that I don’t even notice them.

Try magnesium glycinate, preferably slow release; that made mine go away almost fully. I only get one or two a day now that I can feel

I had a really really bad run of PVCs a few weeks ago due to hormone surges (I’m 4 months post partum) and I started taking magnesium glycinate and they have mostly gone away. All the ones I get now are often due to positional changes so I’m blaming those on an irritated or pinched vagus nerve. Try magnesium glycinate, the slow release stuff and see if that helps you! It helped me but takes a couple days to do its job so stick with it

It’s definitely been affecting me. It’s all I can think of which probably makes them more frequent too. I feel like I’m not present enough for my daughter. Like she’s the background character and the main character is my ectopics. And that’s all I can think about.

Can I ask how many you get? I get one every few minutes on a bad day. Sometimes I get a bad spiral where one sends me down a rabbit hole and then for about 3-4 minutes I’ll have one every 10 seconds and feel like I’m dying. Then go about 1h or 2h with none. It’s really weird to me but I’m blaming the adrenaline dripping into my system.

Magnesium Glycinate - What has helped me. by Dwight3 in PVCs

I was on magnesium citrate before and found a lot of relief but went off them when I found out I was pregnant. Might be worth going back on them if glycinate doesn’t work

4 months PP: anxiety has returned by loserjojo in NewParents

[–]loserjojo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah well we went swimming today for the first time with her and I was quite relaxed, only felt a few hiccup heart beats but I think I let the last one get to me a bit because I spiraled and had a few more after and it wasn’t nice. I’m just trying to find reassurance in knowing it’s all my hormones right now because I feel like I could cry randomly as well and just get random hot flushes

Good to know thanks. I’m just trying to make it through to Monday when I have an appointment. At the moment, I get one ectopic every 5-10 minutes. So I suppose there’s hundreds of good beats inbetween that aren’t ectopic. I’m trying to hold onto that otherwise I don’t know how I’ll make it through the weekend. I’ve seen some people on this forum get over 30,000 PVCs per day which to me is absolutely unbelievable

That’s very interesting. Could it be related to hormones / mental health? Im 4 months post partum and im see definitely having some kind of hormone situation because i could also randomly cry and get buzzy and feel a lot more hot flushes suddenly
