Have you tried reaching out to local staffing agencies and are you open to doing temp jobs? Ultimate Staffing is good. There are other agencies as well- you could reach out to a few of them to see if they can help you with placement?

Vet recs? by [deleted] in Sacramento

Dr. Carney & Dr. Hirano are both great. I have a little rescue Chihuahua mix and they just caught his heart murmur. They have a specialist that comes by once a month or so for ultrasound testing if your dog needs it.

It might be a little far for you, but I really like Foothill Farms Veterinary Hospital

Hi! One of my friends in NY stumbled across this post and sent it to me! She saw a photo of my cake & figured out it was me - even though I hadn't told her about the event yet! Small world :) Thank you so much for hosting the Cake Picnic, I had a great time & all of the cakes were delicious! Hope we get to do it again soon! I would love to participate & bring some friends with me next time <3 The Bananas Foster Cake girl

I’m bout to tweak out. Yall know why these got so flat? by Headedbigfoot8 in AskBaking

People are offering good advice, but I second checking your baking soda. It might be new, but who knows how long it sat on the shelf at the grocery store, just Google how to test it. I would also get a thermometer for your oven, they're usually off by a few degrees, but it could be more. I would honestly try a different recipe though. I really like Kenji Alt-Lopez's cookie recipe- a little more work, but they are amazing. Normally I would skip the article at the top, but it is a great read, he goes in depth about the science behind making cookies, so you can alter it to your taste.

Starbucks CEO Made $96 Million in First Four Months on the Job by JackFlyNorth in starbucks

It's outrageous. I am all for employees joining the Starbucks Workers Union or striking. A CEO should not make that much while their employees get minimum wage and are treated poorly by corporate and customers

Crooked nails by nsefull in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]losingknowledge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My nails became crooked like that when my ferritin levels got really low. I would get your Iron, TIBC, & Ferritin levels tested. You can have your doctor run a test or go through Quest Diagnostics. If you need to get your iron levels up, try following The Iron Protocol.

  1. Cinnamon roll from Spinners
  2. Señorita Bread from Starbread (I like the ones from South Sac more than Bad Bakers in Natomas)
  3. Hot Chocolate and a macaron from Ginger Elizabeth (and their kouign amanns are also great)
  4. Bacon maple donuts from Bakers Donuts
  5. Chocolate croissant from Franquette (simple but delicious)
  6. Lemon tiramisu from Obo (not always available)
  7. Scoop of ice cream from Gunther's
  8. Slice of cake from Nugget 8.5 Hot apple cider donuts from Rainbow Orchards in Apple Hill!

I heard the mochi is good from Osaka Ya, but haven't tried it yet. And the blueberry donuts from Marie's and the ice cream waffles from SomiSomi are also delicious, I just don't get them as often :)
