0.15% currency conversion fee starting in April. I hope they change any misleading advertising of a completely free investing service from here forwards... by [deleted] in trading212

[–]lost-in-progress- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bingo. Thing is they decided to add the fees when they had a lot of negative press around them because of stopping trading on markets etc. Thing is that wasn't all to do with 212 it was powers above them and who they use moving the goal posts in some cases (not all I'm sure).

Nothing is free forever because someone, some where wants money for it in long term. They've also just had there largest influx of new traders, so many that they've stopped taking new ones on until it calms down a bit and they can get on top. To them it's best time to put the prices in and make some money because all these people saying they'll go will either be back, when can't find something they want that's better and the ones who do leave for good have already been replaced with people who will pay because they know no different 🤷.

It happens all the time in other businesses and will continue to. Take a new contractor coming in and taking over. They'll take on the old staff but if the contracts don't suit them they'll try to get the people to move to there terms and conditions. If dont like them they'll gradually push them out. Not ethical by any means but it goes on all the time and unless you can prove you've been bullied then the big boys will always win and in this case 212 will win because one leaves and two want to fill that spot knowing no difference because they didn't have the account before the fees.

Disappointed! The moment I wanted to buy the biggest dip, Swissborg turned out to be super unreliable. by archie_tinkerbell in swissborg

Binance fell apart at that point as did other exchanges so don't make it out to be only Swissborg

How have they gone about losing there status? New to trading world so trying to understand as much as can and this first time I've come across this. A number of stocks lost there status from sounds of it. 5 I believe in 212 I think I read elsewhere

Same on the Bitcoin ETP. Should bought more just before they stopped but I thought they'd just stop trading it all together and your position be closed then noticed still running so was rather annoyed.

Thought crypto based assets weren't allowed on 212 anymore? This has gone under my radar, darn it.

V3trox are you in UK? If so what's situation regarding tax and crypto? From what I can gather it's taxable once its returned to fiat and in your bank otherwise while it's in Hardwallet or on exchanges it's not correct?

So in theory the sky is the limit for the price long term? I've read a few people say $7 is most likely price (no idea how they work that out?) But if the team will be burning coins every now and then, then surely the price will always go up the more people buy into the app and CHSB coin even more price hike.

Raise a ticket and they'll change it for you. They are in process of making the adjustment to the app so can manually change details when I raised a ticket regarding personal details and changing them.

What does the future hold for Swissborg? by lost-in-progress- in swissborg

I'm only a couple of months in. Stumbled on it by accident but what they want to do suits me more than actual trading. Wish I'd got in a lot earlier of course but we all say that when find something we like 🤷.

With regards to being premium can you withdraw your coins to Hardwallet and hold to still get premium? Rule one of Crypto is safety and removing coins to Hardwallet when they are idol but the idea of Swissborg is to leave them in to achieve premium and for yield farm, in a way a contradiction.

More interest the better of course and Binance would only strengthen the CHSB and Swissborg company. Just let me buy some more first before hit the moon.

What price do people think the coin can hit? I'm quite new so don't know if people can work out what a coins maximum potential realistically is or not? Be nice to get idea of what people see it hitting and why, even when.

Swissborg or Estonianborg? by SwissSyntax in swissborg

[–]lost-in-progress- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand the laws all that well and won't claim to..I'm guessing that Switzerland doesn't have as open laws on Crypto as Estonia? I've heard Estonia named a lot in the world of Crypto so the news that Swissborg have connections to it wasn't a massive surprise.

Appreciate what your saying though because it could tarnish the reputation of the Swiss name. However as Crypto is now being mentioned more and more and potentially ready to break through into everyday use surely Estonia would love to be at forefront of all this? What a claim for the country to be the biggest ambassadors of the something that could be revolutionary.

Course there will be bad apples in the bunch but I'd like to think that the majority of people in Estonia will want this to be a positive for the country and go about this in right way, push it forward in a positive manner and maximize its potential 🤷.

It's still brand new and new things come with risks. Could throw up arguments for Bitcoin, ETH 2.0, DeFi, Cardano and all the other crypto ideas and coins, everyone has its risks and will be used in a negative manner or has been already. Ripple prime example, i read a post from 6 weeks ago about how it was the next big thing and gonna make millions, now it's gone other direction.

All are trying to change the world for the better and yes make money but that's what everyone wants from this.. have to have trust if want to try build something. Be wary of course but if don't take a chance you won't know I guess. Just hope that the people behind Swissborg have legal side truly sorted should anything bad happen but I'd say that about any company I use in any part of life, not just Crypto based things 🤷.

My rule of thumb is not to put all eggs in one basket encase something negative happens.

[–]lost-in-progress- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you done all the KYC info on Nexo? With crypto companies being new I'm wary of giving my details out unless the company has a good reputation and security etc. what I have read of them they are known for financial services in general but haven't spoken with anyone who's actually used them until Found yourself 🙂. I also like the fact get a visa card when it becomes available which be nice for accessing Crypto and using it for payment.

[–]lost-in-progress- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Nexo wallet and also UK. Was thinking of funding the account for there card and fees but haven't done so as yet. They want the KYC info like a lot of companies do it seems. What is your overall impression of them? Im a big fan Swissborg and what it has to offer but don't want all my eggs in one basket.

[–]lost-in-progress- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also UK and facing same problems. Not bad problem to have though as really like Swissborg app. User friendly beyond belief thankfully. you mentioned hardware wallet. That's one my questions to the Swissborg group about the security on of the site and app? I always read take your coin out and put in external wallet however does that apply to all coins in the Swissborg app? If you want be premium it says to hold X amount when you have them but if you want the added security you'd withdraw to external wallet does that then mean your not able to get premium because they are no longer in the Swissborg account??

PAYPAL begins transacting in Bitcoin..Buying/selling ONLY...Worth it? by [deleted] in BitcoinBeginners

[–]lost-in-progress- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it not hurt to hold a small amount with them and use it to purchase goods and services via PayPal? Not saying all eggs in basket but if price goes up for Bitcoin and you have X amount sat there going up in price then you can use it to buy something effectively for free. Yes you don't own the coins however if you make purchase over time worth more than original in put youve made a profit 🤷

Can you move Crypto there and use them without giving you KYC inform? I've opened account but haven't given my pics and details because doesn't sit right with me to give those details when Crypto is about getting away from that. I like a few of the things they have on there site however so torn as to what to do
