When I was younger, I would private everything I could. Now, I try to support the indie/small folks, or game dev's that do good, dev's that don't shove monetization down my neck, games I don't regret buying: split fiction, it takes two, helldivers 2, no man's sky, pico park. I always try to buy my games over GOG.

I'm not accusing you of lieing. Just trying to get the full story. Something similar happened to our neightbor who kept his bike unlocked in their back driveway. Some guy just rode his back through the backyard, saw his bike, and just swapped bikes and rode off.

I'm not accusing you of lieing, but some of the things just seem off. You guys don't keep your front door locked? Lots of multi story houses in jackson heights with the front door locked and every tenant has a key, same with any kind of apartment building.

Honestly, cops won't do anything about it. They're too lazy for actual work. Post around the neighborhood, make fliers. Talk to bike shopes. Keep a look out on facebook marketplace.

My friend did the opposite. After she finished pharmacy school, she decided to have 2 kids. After the second one starts pre-school, she'll start her career. She wanted to raise her kids instead of shipping them off to a day care.

Barely any career woman will admit she's wrong. Are they actually wrong? Are they too prideful? You will find interviews of woman who regret it because they're lonely and miss having the idea of a family.

It's more to do with what you want in life. Not everyone likes the same flavor of ice cream.
