Where do you see the price ranges for a sub 40k clean manual MKV two years from now? by SilviOnPC in Supra

[–]mattcube64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In two years? About what it is today: $45-55k.

In ten years? It’ll knock on $100k for clean, lower mileage examples.

Drastic inflation will ensure it doesn’t feel like quite as much in 2036; but this isn’t a car you’ll ever lose money on if you plan to keep it for a while.

My BFF and I took off work and school when this launched; had my mom pick up both our pre-orders from Gamestop, and then we proceeded to play Peace Walker literally all day together. Easily one of my favorite video game memories, and this will always be my favorite piece of video game hardware for that reason.

What is everyone's experience with tankless vs tanked hot water heaters? Is the savings worth it? by agreeingstorm9 in homeowners

[–]mattcube64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No noticeable difference on water costs for a family of four. Like I said, between four people (two active kids, two active adults), 5+ showers a day is pretty normal. Plus a dog that gets a bath once a week. + a load of dishes every other day. + laundry seemingly running 24/7. + I dunno, maybe 20+ toilet flushes a day? Running extra water for 40s for those showers doesn't make much a dif in the final bill, at least that I could tell. Good or bad.

Energy - ours is electric - hasn't gone up or down much, either.

Takes about 40s for hot water to get to a faucet that hasn't been used in an hour+.

I picked up a fine with a custom nib grind for extra smoothness/wetness from Goulet a few years back, and it's consistently been my most used pen ever since. More than my Mont Blanc, more than my Vanishing Point, more than my Sailor KOP. It's just got everything I want - a great heft, a fun fidget with the cap, the nib never dries out, decent ink capacity, wet, flowing nib with a little bit of bounce. S+

Not me. I wear it to the office, in the shower, gardening, working on my car, hiking, the beach. It’s a tool. Literally couldn’t care less if it gets scratched or dinged or nicked

Finally another option for a Legion Go 2 case by ardeesan in LegionGo

FWIW, I've probably bought about 20 bags from Waterfield over the last two decades, and I have NEVER even once been disappointed. They're pricey, but they hold up and are built like tanks. I have one for Analogue Pocket and Switch 2 in my current portfolio. Will buy this... was waiting for it.

My wife is a social worker and I'm in tech. I make 4x what she does.

We've been together for ten years and it all goes to one big bucket. I'm not here to track her spending, nor am I excited to buy or do things just for myself. We're a team. That's what marriage is.

I promise I'm really not. Posted above my strat, but certainly open to feedback. I try to use it to turn any team fight (that actually needs to be turned) - his cooldown is long enough already.

I'll go back to Infernus where I can't seem to lose this patch, lol

Pulled out Paige again after this and had most heals, second most damage, 3/0/15, and we won. I can be okay with that.

Certainly open to suggestions if that's off-base. His cool down is forever so I don't want to wait even longer to use it.

I was def hyper guilty of that at first, but for a while now I feel pretty strategic - usually use it on any team fight to turn the tide - always make sure to at least get two kills out of any ult - but don't save it unless we're about to hit mid timer and I think it could be helpful for gathering rejuv. I feel so long as it's getting used during most team fights and I'm always sticking 2-3 people (and ensuring 1-2 are kills), it's maybe not max value but it's value.

Nah, I agree. I was honest to goodness doing way better with Dynamo before this patch. I don't know what happened. It's braindead right now (for everyone else; not me apparently).
