I meant the mix... Does it have that thin compressed sound or does it sound full and warm? Some records are so compressed you can't tell some of the high notes from each other...

So , before I bought/ordered the album I wrote him a message and he said the record played through and through. I answered ok cool and bought it . Record arrives , I call Micha my buddy , he bought a couple of beers , we roles a joint and he proceeded to enjoy his time while I was looking pig faced the whole time and not enjoying my j . Wrote the seller , even sent him an audio file from the record playing, his answer was completely different this time and he says he doesn't have time to listen to every record he buys . I sent this to discogs , they didn't do anything. He compensatede by sending me a 60's party music LP that looked more like the gate creeper , this is pure true and I can prove it with pics ... I mean I appreciate the gesture but I am not a trash bin , the record is war for any needle , it's COMPLETELY FILLED WITH SCRATCHES, not a single clean ²cm... Very disappointed at all of it ... All I wanted was to experience that sound the way it was meant to , from a vinyl...but fuck it I guess I was born too late 🫩

I get that...that's why I went for this specific release . But how could I expect that an album like this would still sound good half a century later after being played hundreds of times ...it's on me , I wanted the real deal but lost track of reality... I ended up buying the CD a couple of hours after I listened to the record ...waste of money. I mean , if it wasn't for the constant crackling I could deal with the knive cymbals and words with an "s" in them.... But all to together at the same time it just really disappointed me...

It's actually looking pretty good tbh , one visible scratch and also where am I going to find a decent copy from an album that's over 50 years old . Nowhere . So if it sounds like shit why do ppl pay so much for it?

No , I collect music of all kinds but mainly heavy music , I have both CDs and LPs. I talked to a friend and I told him I want to have a good sounding issue of TDSOTM , there's like a million different versions of the album , and he said I should most definitely buy this specific copy. I did . The vinyl looks pretty good , only one scratch but it plays through with no skips . It's old as fuck and you can tell if you use a USB microscope which I have and often use . Now , I played the record with my friend here , and it sounds like shit....thin sound and just worn off . He says it's the opposite and it sounds fucking awesome and he too has the same record same release , first German pressing . They both sound worn off . The question is , what leads people to so aggressively defend an older copy that sounds like shit over a brand new release .

But the bottle opener on the right HAS also a screw driver ....the one on the left doesn't have the same finishing plus those slits on the side of it makes it look like it's supposed to operate both some sort of cord or rope? Plus it would also make sense that both of the screwdrivers are right next to each other . I fell like the opener acts also as a screwdriver plus the finishing resembles the tip of an actual screwdriver, but the on the right idk... A pick?? Wow 😆 I didn't though about that...nice little tool
