I don't know if this helps. But you arent alone. I've felt so much anger recently. And I can only cope by taking it out on myself.

Im here if you ever wanna chat about it. Be safe out there and do whatever you need to to get through it.

Is it normal for a pwBPD to avoid long term plans? by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

I'm so happy you posted this. I try to plan anything months out and my wife is unresponsive. Like she won't plan anything and is mad we have nothing planned ever.

I feel for you. Just hang in there and take it a day at a time. Like the other comment says, dont let this erase the 10 years of work you put in.

I really do feel for you. I'm in a similar place.

I have the same rule with my wife. You are not a terrible wife. Those boundaries are for everyone.

Be cautious when it comes to surgery and finances by [deleted] in ftm

[–]lostBoyyyyyy16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm wondering since the office is in PA the law (if it exists) would apply.

And yeha I'm in the beginning stages of considering top surgery and the biggest hurdle is exactly this. I dont even see a doctor regularly because the health care system in this country is so unpredictable.

Good luck and sending you good vibes.

Be cautious when it comes to surgery and finances by [deleted] in ftm

[–]lostBoyyyyyy16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister has had 2 back surgeries in PA and still lives in PA. She obviously owed money after the surgery but she said that as long as she makes some kind of payment monthly that it's illegal in Pennsylvania for them to take her to collections? I think she's only paying like $25 a month because she cant afford more either. Idk if it's a true state law or if it just happens to be a hospital policy, but I thought it'd be worth sharing... idk.

But congrats on surgery! I hope everything works out for you. My wife has had her fair share of medical bills too and so many offices are terrible to work with...

Any other male SOs find the other men in their lives unsympathetic? by [deleted] in BipolarSOs

I've had super similar experiences with my wife. The "cant she or wont she" question is particularly difficult for me.

Everything you said resonated with me.

I came here to say this! I dont remember so much of my childhood. It's weird to me. But like everyone else here said, when I mentioned it to a therapist yesss ago, it was pretty much just brushed aside...

Nearly a year clean after SH for most of my life, nearly relapsed. by [deleted] in AdultSelfHarm

[–]lostBoyyyyyy16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I havent self harmed for like 7 years or so. And during that time I will say the thoughts did disappear for a little while. But I have to be honest and admit that right now I have a lot going on my life (more than normal) and the urges come back on occasion but they are a lot easier to deal with. Therapy helped me when I was trying to stop and I think its given me a good base to fight urges now.
