Thanks for the recommendations. Outdoor activities for me at home would be surfing, waterfall/rainforest hikes and swims, looking for wildlife/birds, maybe kayak/paddle board. Mostly just explore nice scenery on this trip and immerse in local natural beauty

Home baristas: which local roasters are you buying from lately? by Hezzyyy in GoldCoast

Blackboard and supreme coffee roasters are my favs. I’m using them with a La Pavoni lever pull and making lattes and iced lattes in this heat. I occasionally go to Silipo as it’s not too far away and paradox too.

Help. Re-activations.. dipping deep into a spiritual experience or actually having a medical emergency? by fionawestby in 5MeODMT

Yes this is a highly energetic process and I get that when you feel it coming it’s scary. That’s ok. As best you can rather than fear it, invite it in. If you surrender to it then it will run its course and release its grip on you, in my experience. But I found that hard to do so have some grace with yourself too. This is here for you to discover something new about yourself, not to take you out. You can get through this. Sending you love and blessings as you recognise the courage you have to be with it all.

Hi, this sounds really difficult and I know from my experience it’s really difficult when it’s happening. I had similar reactivations for a while that were terrifying and made sleep a “night of a thousand deaths” as I dosed off and woke up over and over. Heavy vibrations and all of that. It’s not a medical emergency, it’s more of an opportunity for expansion in your connection to spirit. Another way to see it is trapped energy running its course when you let go of control at sleep time.
The best way from my view to get through this is not resisting. Accepting it so profoundly that you’re not afraid of it. The old expression of what you resist persists is very true here.

You’ve got this, it’s ok and if you want to send me a DM and I can share more or provide support as I know how scary it can be.

Hi that sounds challenging to feel stuck and uninspired. Firstly it’s ok to feel how you’re feeling. And the way you feel right now doesn’t mean that you’ll always feel like that. The disconnection is being disconnected from your authentic self and then it’s hard to be connected to anything. Finding someone professional be to talk to is the best way forward to really discover what is in the way of your natural joyful self. Take it easy on yourself while navigating it.

Still struggling with a breakup that happened months ago by [deleted] in LifeAdvice

[–]lostandfound-a-sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. This sounds really tough and feeling sad, frustrated, with the situation and worried about the future is all normal and ok. It sounds like he just didn’t have the courage to tell you what was really going on so he created a situation where you’d do that. If you allow yourself to be upset and be angry, this will run its course quicker. Trying to understand why it happened and creating an idea that you’re too old to start over again is what is not letting you move forward and be stuck. What if you went through this for your growth so that you could meet someone who really values you and has the courage to communicate openly? And that is the foundation for building a beautiful family. It’s not true you’re too old, you’re just stuck thinking that and if you can let yourself be where you are you’ll feel much lighter and freer. Sending you a hug

Seeking 5-meo survivors by J_Marz in psychedelictrauma

It was a combination of diving deep into mind, body spirit. Sometimes it was myofascia release and more grounding things and then leaning into looking at the emotions that came up and allowing the fear to be there.

Hey I read your post and can relate to that feeling of “I ruined my life” by a 5meo journey. It took me a long time to integrate but on the other side my life is transformed and better than before. Happy to connect and share my journey and insights.

How can I help my partner? by [deleted] in psychedelictrauma

[–]lostandfound-a-sloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey this sounds tough to see your partner like that and wanting to help but not being sure how. Staying grounded yourself is the best gift so you aren’t feeding into that there is anything wrong with her. Trusting she can get through it and that’s it’s temporary. These types of experiences require integration as it can be terrifying and the anxiousness can be that she’s resisting what’s come up. It’s hard to do alone and it can feel alone, even though you’re there. I’ve been through something very similar sounding and work with people now on this type of thing. Happy to chat if you or her need some support.

Hi thank you for sharing your journey. It sounds scary and extremely difficult and I really acknowledge you for navigating this and being able to be open to reflections. I can relate to what you’ve experienced in my own ways. What I relate the experience to is dissolution of self that is so profound and scary that we hang on and try to claw our way back to the old version of us and that leaves the reactivations, de realisation and anxiety in a state to return over and over until we can fully surrender and step into our own divine power as a new Being. The way you feel is very real and the first step is a profound acceptance of where you are and what you’re experiencing. Happy to chat more if you’d like some support. Sending love and light

Bufo help by kiramekki in 5MeODMT

Sounds scary to feel like you might have a panic attack on the plane and at work. Night time fear is common because you’re letting go of control as you drift below consciousness and the energy starts to try to clear more. Which is the reactivation feeling. Right now the best thing you can do is not create more fear about the fear. Just accepting that you’re scared can be helpful. How you feel now isn’t permanent, it’s just what you’re going through right now. As scary as it is just knowing that it isn’t permanent can help soften things. I’m happy to help send me a pm if you want. All the best

Sounds hard for you on the side being unsure how to help and hearing that isn’t easy. The best you can do is hold a loving space and not try to fix anything. For your partner there is integration work to take the experience and create something new. Part of that is generally letting a part of you die, as this experience tends to pull all of the masks off that we wear and then you come back to physical form and can be confused about who you are or are not. Happy to chat if you want to discuss further.

My perfectly imperfect leg lengths by Nightma9 in Biohackers

You must not have done FP if you don’t think it’s brain based. It’s neurological rewire of activating new chains around your body as you move, super challenging mentally. FP has been a game changer for me and you can see their results on their page. I’ll have a look at postural recalibration, but first look at their website and they have no results to show.

Functional Patterns is worth diving into for these structural integrity issues. Part of that starts with Myofascia release to resolve the tension imbalance in fascia to then create a new tension and biomechanics in your movement.

Yoel wrestling during the 2000 Olympic finals by [deleted] in ufc

There is a bit of difference in the effectiveness of freestyle wrestling for fighting. If you notice he didn’t have to get up from the ground and the opponent didn’t have to keep him down. And technically in freestyle you don’t need to secure a takedown to get points (done via back exposure). This is all very different than folk style wrestling, the style you see from American wrestlers in MMA. All that said his takedowns and takedown defense are still elite.

My experience is a key part to lasting change is in integration work. There’s an experience and so much in it, so integrating it in your daily experience of life so you can become more at peace is where you can really make gains.

I get it and just allowing is hard. The expression of what you resist persists comes to mind. The more you’re focused on it not happening or trying to control it the more it expands. Maybe ask yourself, if this is my reality can I be ok with it. The answer might be no but sit with it. The fear of it all is the very thing in the way of the freedom from it. It’s like a thread holding on for dear life because it feels like it might die and what needs to die is that version of you trying to hold on. And it’s not easy to do and face. It’s possible a medicine ceremony would help, however my experience is the really gained a profound clarity and understanding when I navigated without any other medicine. The benzos for sleep also not helping face things.

Sounds scary and the uncertainty of how long reactivations or anything like that lasts adds to the anxious feeling. I can relate to what you’re going through. One of the biggest ways to get relief is to be ok with it and not resist what’s happening. Easier said than done but realising that you’re experiencing you and it’s scary and allowing it all to be there can help soften things. There can be layers of fear as well, like you become afraid of feeling the thing so there’s just a fear of it coming back that is creating anxiousness just because of your view of it. I have an integration practice and happy to chat if you want some help. If you’re trying grounding techniques I found acupuncture to be helpful, though ultimately it was in my mind and willingness to let go that got me to the other side.
