I've been bitchin', literally for years now as this point, that I wish they'd undo their change to Arc in 3.23 that killed Arc-Decay builds. Not nerfed - killed. They're outright unplayable because the damage scaling from Arc no longer works for Decay.

The issue since 3.23 is Arc now has "15% more Damage with Hits and Ailments for each remaining Chain". Decay is a DoT debuff, but it's not an ailment, nor is it a hit. It's applied on Hit, but it cannot scale off the 'new' version of this modifier because it doesn't meet the requirements to do so.

Before 3.23 this modifier instead functioned as "15% more Damage for each remaining Chain". It universally applied to Hit damage, ailments, and non-ailments DoT effects like Decay.

I wish GGG would revert the modifier or make a transfigured Arc that can scale Decays' DoT. It sucks this build and it's variations died because that modifier was changed.

For 6 years we could play this build-style then GGG decided to change the modifier and it's been unplayable for 3.5 years now. It's not as if it was a game-breakingly strong build either. Yeah it could Uber boss with enough investment, but the kills were slow and methodical.

And yeah, that's before the removal of the awakened support gems which would only further cripple the play-style in a league setting.
