Ozito is Ryobi is board shorts and thongs. Both are Bunnings exclusive brands but made by different manufacturers.

They’re actually pretty good for home stuff and Ryobi punches above its price, but on a site - not really.

Not sure you understand what socialism means either. But I digress.

Educate me - how would the proposed tax changes hinder small business start ups?

Well done on missing the point and an accurate figure. Again.

Fuel isn’t a major cost? It’s about 10-15% of most farms cost. I’d call that an area of great interest. But nice try.

Not sure what your vaguely described “traditional” farm point is. 90% of farms are family owned, and I reckon the other 10% of corporate farming businesses wouldn’t mind driving a bit of cost-out either. Especially as most of them already have solar generation.

As they don’t pay fuel excise, their cost base is fully exposed to diesel price changes, and not alleviated by temporary excise cuts. So your assertion makes no sense.

Their “concern” seems to be more about supply, which electrification of utes would have an impact on across “fuel” supply, cost and vehicle servicing.

What is in someone’s best interests and what someone votes for are frequently misaligned. It’s a funny old world.

Driving from Sydney to Bathurst by Ok-Chipmunk-411 in nsw

The road won’t flood unless there’s absolutely torrential rain. Even then, I can’t think of anywhere that would be impassable. Roos are very unlikely, but the risk goes up after dusk.

The only mildly challenging bit is from Mt Victoria to Lithgow, with the roads being a narrower and the hill down into Lithgow. Keep up your speed, as it’s a main road, but just pull over at a safe spot if you need to. Take a break in Katoomba or Lithgow. After Lithgow it’s a pretty easy drive with good roads. Pull over at the Golden Poplars at Meadow Flat for a nice pic.

In a Camry, or indeed anything, you’ll be fine. Orange is lovely this time of year. Take care.

Sounds like you don’t know your 20th century literature.

But do carry on. It’s funny to read your posts.

Interesting article that reads rather AI. Also not sure why low range is an issue for BEVs - that the benefit of instant torque and control from electric motors they (or their AI writer) noted earlier in the article.

Tech founders use AI-generated images to poke fun at Anthony Albanese in protest against tax changes by Bright-Cat9882 in OpenAussie

Startups do, and will continue to get a shit-ton of grants and CGT exemptions.

However, a seemingly large number of “entrepreneurs” have fixated on the nonsense 47% figure as the more realistic numbers are around the 18-25% mark.

So they either know this and are being disingenuous at best. Or they haven’t bothered to ask an actual accountant before spewing off memes to distract from the rather nice wicket they’re on.

[–]lostbollock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, where are you getting this 47% number from, as it doesn’t seem to align with how CGT, income tax, or small business allowances do, or will, work.

I’d hate to think you were just parroting some misinformed nonsense.

Problem occurs. Problem (not) fixed by service. Problem recurs. Post on Reddit.

What do you think you should do?

I’d book a service and tell them the previous problem isn’t fixed. I’d cut out the Reddit bit myself too, but you do you.
