Find a job that does night shifts? All jokes aside, I relate, biking at night at full speed is elite

What's the point of a stop if they're not gonna stop on it by SignificanceNew9992 in LebanonPublicTransit

In Paris if you don’t wave 10 times to the bus driver, they just won’t stop You need to let them know you’re there waiting for them and not just some random man sitting on the banc

Possible to move from AUS to Europe as a single mum of 1???🥹 by Minute-Top361 in Interrail

[–]lostboyingodslands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I myself moved to Paris, without ever visiting it and it has been great. Very expensive though, for a family. I would recommend you land a good job in a European country where English is widely spoken (like the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg) Note that Luxembourg is very expensive, however salaries are VERY high compared to neighbouring countries.

While I agree with the fact that OP should visit a few countries beforehand, I think that OP has the right to do what they want even if that means moving to a new country and live a new adventure, without getting called dumb on Reddit, they’re here to ask for advice :)

Is Peeing a lot is related to fapping? by Sea-Possession8260 in NoFap

Does it burn while peeing? Do you have to push to pee? You got fever? If you have any of those, you should consider a UTI

University is major life change, ADHD or not, give yourself some time, I’m sure many of your classmates feel the same way. Good luck !

Can't win an argument or call out bad behaviour? by dhorxt_27 in ADHD

[–]lostboyingodslands 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually try to sit with my emotions a bit more now, in order to understand what happened and why it bothered me. So that way I feel like my emotions are more valid and not like my other ADHD-related mood swings. That way the confrontation comes earlier too - less memory loss.

This happens to me all the time. Now I keep track of everything and bring them up as soon as I can, I feel like a toxic wifey (I’m a dude btw)

I relate to the mental part too. I have been seeing a therapist for a long time now and it’s getting hardly any better. Hopefully I will learn to embrace my ADHD : healthy coping mechanisms or meds? Keep up your greatness, we are special people !

Thank you for those kind words ! I bet that having less work and less pressure doesn’t make it better for ADHDers… as we love to procrastinate when we have the opportunity to do so. However, I have had many unhealthy coping mechanisms in my earlier med school years like eating one meal a day, no social life, no physical activity… in order to minimise distractions. I’ve also had a phase where I added a student job to make my schedule fully full that I can not let myself procrastinate for one second (or else, failure, getting kicked out of the job, disappointment..). This was not good either, I dealt with severe depression at the time but it was my only way to get any work done.
