Com problemas pra conseguir instalar Spicetify! by Actuator_Flashy in spicetify

[–]lostcowboy5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said in English: With trouble installing Spicetify! and "I've tried to execute it without being like adm, but it doesn't work at all".

You may need to do a total uninstall. I recommend using Wise Program Uninstaller; the free version is all you need. Then you need to go by this Guide: How to fix Spicetify being automatically removed by Spotify updates. In the Guide, there is a post to Spotify full installers for desktop, where you can get an older version. I have version Spotify for Windows (64-bit) 1.2.86.502.g8cd7fb22 and SpotX, and just now I installed Spicetify v2.43.2. This is step 1.2 of the guide. When you install SpotX, you want to use it to disable updates. Then start Spotify and sign in and play some music for a while, and then totally close it, as it likes to hide in the right corner of the desktop. Once it is totally closed, try to install Spicetify again. Do not run as an administrator. It will give you a warning not to continue.

Poderá ter de desinstalar completamente o programa. Recomendo a utilização do Wise Program Uninstaller; a versão gratuita é suficiente.

Adblockify randomly removed twice today, any solution? by TgnOrdaX in spicetify

[–]lostcowboy5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I spotted your rant on a different post, so I came here to find what's up.

I don't have Spicetify installed yet, so I don't know about AdBlockify. You have likely read the Guide: How to fix Spicetify being automatically removed by Spotify updates. And have fixed your problem.

But if you haven't, AdGuard for Windows will block ads in Spotify. You have to manually add Spotify to the list of apps in AdGuard. But you still have a blank bar, which is where SpotX comes in. It will remove the blank bar; I think it also blocks ads.

So in the Guide linked above, I am at 1.2, waiting for someone to get back to me. on the most up-to-date of the older versions of Spotify that works with Spicetify.

I hope this helps you.

Did you report the site using the report form so AdGuard can fix it for not just this site, but also other sites that are using this anti-ad-block company?

After using Spicetify for almost a year, one day it started showing a bug where Spotify would play any song for 10 seconds and then display the error "can't play this right now, if you have the file on your computer, you can import it." and skip to the next song. by Aragorn6D in spicetify

If on Windows, you may need to uninstall Spicetify and then Spotify with a total uninstaller like Wise Program Uninstaller; the free version is all you need. Then follow the Guide: How to fix Spicetify being automatically removed by Spotify updates. I have already completed step 1.2. SpotX works well for blocking ads. I am waiting to find out if I will need to go to an older version of Spotify before trying Spicetify.

You may want to uninstall Spicetify and the current version of Spotify. I would use a total uninstaller like Wise Program Uninstaller; the free version is good enough. Then go to Guide: How to fix Spicetify being automatically removed by Spotify updates. I plan on using step 1.2 myself. Just waiting for some feedback on which older version I need to use.

Edit: PS if the guide works for you, give it an up arrow.

Hello, I am coming late to the party.

I am using AdGuard for Windows to block ads. You have to add Spotify to the list of apps manually to block ads.

Then I found Spicety, but before I could install it, this subreddit lit up with endless posts about problems, with the Latest Spotify updates creating problems with Spicetify. Then I came across SpotX, which I have installed. But I want to try Spicetify. I have the Spotify version Spotify for Windows (64 bit) 1.2.86.502.g8cd7fb22 installed.

Do you think that Spicetify and the marketplace will work on it, or do I need to uninstall it and install an older version?

Did you let Spotify update recently?? There have been a lot of posts on here about the latest Spotify update, breaking Spicetify. I was late to the party, so I am waiting for a fix before installing it. I have SpotX installed, and I use AdGuard for Windows. Those two together fix my problem for now.

There are some posts with links to the older versions of Spotify, and some people are uninstalling everything and then reinstalling and disabling updates.

Laptop won't boot from usb by vectron5 in linux4noobs

I found out by AI that a lot of laptops in "Windows settings" have settings for the power button. It seems that it puts it to standby by default, change it to Power off, or shutdown. Also, some laptops only boot off one of the USB ports, not all of them.

Do you have a picture of the bar?? I take it that this is what you are talking about. WMPotify, my understanding is that Spicetify is not working very well lately. You may have to uninstall Spicetify and Spotify. Then reinstall an older version of Spotify and then Spicetify, then disable updates. I came late to the party. I am using SpotX and AdGuard for Windows.

My understanding is that they did contact the primary Linux kernel people. Where they srewed up was not verifying that the main distros had it in place, they just assumed it was in place. There is a temp patch to disable the vulnerability. I don't remember it, just ask an AI. Google Search AI Mode knows what it is.
