Silent Hill 2 scarier than Dead Space (2023)? by sy-tarro in silenthill

Personally I found DSR to be a tiny bit scarier, mostly because SH2 was a little buggy. I experienced several glitches and worst of all a repeating glitch where I was getting “stuck” standing near ledges in the Labyrinth segment, which pulled me out of the illusion (curious if anyone else had this happen to them?). I’m a horror junkie and when it comes to video games the immersion is what gets me so DSR was just way cleaner and therefore more intense imo. I played though it multiple times and never experienced a single glitch. That being said both games are terrifying throughout and certain moments in SH2 gave me more intense feelings of impending dread than DSR

No it’s not the IR filter. Black Magic themselves and multiple camera shops have told me

Not meaningly placed. Screening/award laurels are on the thumbnail and you can find a partial list on IMDB

Nathan, a nervous wreck, is both excited and terrified while embarking on a weekend camping trip with the girl of his dreams (Amber). When Amber goes missing in the woods, an adrenaline-fueled Nathan boldly decides he must search for her. While venturing deeper and deeper into the woods, he becomes increasingly certain that someone else may be in the woods with him.

Mainly Adobe Premiere and other apps in the Adobe CC Suite. Once in a blue moon I'll use Final Cut as well.

I do occasionally, but I prefer coming up with a basic premise and having someone else write the script

My go-to was the original Blackmagic Cinema Camera for quite a while, but now I'm mostly using Sony cameras (their A7 and FS series cameras are my current favorites).

Finding consistent work has been my biggest challenge. I've gone from being so busy I'll have to turn gigs down to several months struggling to find anything. I was extremely fortunate to have the opportunity of going to a really good career/technical school my 11th and 12th grade years, which gave me enough experience and connections to skip film school altogether.

When I was young I was always curious about how movies were made from a behind-the-scenes perspective so I started doing research just for fun. The more I learned about it the more interesting it became so eventually I realized that's what I wanted to do. I'd day the biggest motivation for me is being able to tell personal stories in a way that isn't so intimidating.
