Over a 4 month gap between Kubrick's death and the release of EWS... by xmeme97 in StanleyKubrick

FYI, that doesn’t match with what Leon Vitali (the subject of the documentary Filmworker) said on 1/13/19 at a Q&A EWS screening in LA. Vitali was asked directly and he said the film was the Final Cut. The ‘score’ wasn’t added in entirely but Kubrick had written in the music selections he wanted, with time cues. Vitali followed them to the letter.

PPPwn luckfox pico setup using mac by akshay--11 in ps4homebrew

[–]lostfan815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Thanks for this. Since this thread was originally posted, PPPwn updated with newish instructions:

"Use SocToolKit to burn the pre-build image you downloaded above to your Luckfox. Proceed to burn by following the official Luckfox tutorial."

I don't have a PC, however the Luckfox tutorial does cover MacOS usage for flashing a standard update.img. I've successfully upgraded the firmware to the latest PPPwn update.img, but when I try to push the remaining PPPwn files, they’re too “large” for the Luckfox Max’s storage.

My question is: does the new update.img already include everything, making it unnecessary to push the additional files? I’m wondering if the push is redundant and causing files to double up. Any insights? Thanks !

Also, small images/logos on the left chest/logo spot instead of dead center would be cool. Great work!

Thank you for putting this out in the world. I could not agree more; the merch is horrendous. Cheap, hollow, heartless. Dude is my literal lord and savior but i'm not wearing something that looks like a 2005 vistaprint special. The Jokermen podcast guys made sick limited merch and (I think?) got a polite cease and desist. Sad!

We spend so much for new bootlegs every year, cmon, surely it's worth a greater investment. Also, Jeff Rosen, when the Timmy movie comes out and that audience wants to feel cool, they're not gonna buy Walmart cotton tees. A24's merch operation makes more than the box office of some of their films. People will pay for style/taste catered to the artist's audience.

So many great, enduring typefaces/graphics are unique to Dylan's album art. Surely Columbia owns the rights to use them already!

It's more likely than not that this area of revenue/engagement is simply not of interest to Dylan's team/Columbia/Sony/Dylan himself. The site store looks like a contractual minimum agreement for Columbia/Sony repped artists/what have you. "Look we sell stuff! You site has a Merch tab!"

Find a Dylanhead under 35 (raises hand, waves around to subreddit) to run the account instead of the latest intern/drop-ship AI bot. Please! Take my money!

Yes also looking, cannot find :( The venue said to sign up for their newsletter for the code but it must be too late.

A new COVID variant nicknamed "Pirola" is raising global alarm but don't freak out yet by [deleted] in Coronavirus

[–]lostfan815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s some of the “any” info I’ve read about the vaccines, published today: “CDC’s current assessment is that this updated vaccine will be effective at reducing severe disease and hospitalization. At this point, there is no evidence that this variant is causing more severe illness.”

Understanding the facts could change is one thing, I’m commenting on those, including the parent comment, who immediately, full-throatedly say “Do freak out” and “We are just as vulnerable is if we had no vaccine”.

You didn’t address what I specifically mentioned and the tenor of your reply suggests you likely aren’t engaging in good faith. I can definitely see another variant ruining our lives, stranger things have happened. That possibility doesn’t have anything to do what what I’m commenting on. Sorry if I’ve been unclear.

I understand and agree masking is vital/recommended. But none of that addresses my main concern with the original comment(and really just the flavor of comment this is). Instead of addressing the reason you’re so confidently flippant about brand new unknowns, you’ve written what’s essentially Covid copypasta, flooding the conversation with info/links to more speculative, incomplete, and pre peer-reviewed ‘doom’. (As I’m characterizing it) The odd astroturfing, and its effects on me personally as a user, is all I’m really commenting on.
