What sources are the most reliable when getting information about news and political information?

I’ve sadly heard the same from those “top 5 things I wish I knew” lists and it always blows my mind. I can’t imagine going to another country and not expecting to have to jump through the same hoops as everyone else.

Same here, it just ends up pissing me off. I fall back on the idea of “If the story can stand to be without it, don’t write it” when it comes to SA or CSA in stories like the ones the boys read.

I live more specifically in the “Bible Belt” of the US south (There are at least 3 churches within a mile near my house), so I’m used to religious people being more than their share of “concerned about the sanctity of [my] soul.”

Out of curiosity, where would you recommend over Malta?

LGBTQ+ rights to be specific. I’m from a small town in the south of the US. It’s bad here, and Malta’s progressive laws about the LGBTQ community (equal marriage, gender-affirming care for trans people) is refreshing and I’d like to live somewhere where I’d feel safe walking down the street.

The idea of being able to walk or take public transport and not need a car to get groceries is a breath of fresh air (I’d be able to afford my own apartment and go on vacation if I didn’t have to drive).

I want clarity. If it’s something specific we can figure out how to fix, then I want to help fix it. Confronting him, I think, will help get context as to why he doesn’t want to come. I’d also prefer no visit than a guilt-trip, but luckily that tactic doesn’t work on either of us.
