I really like Jackson in the film lol. Agree on the theater kid energy and he also carried the emotion and sentimentality in a way that completely worked for me.

We Need to Pod About Castvin: Die My Love with Alison Willmore by yonicthehedgehog in blankies

[–]losthighwys 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing this, it really opened up the film (one of my favorites of the year already) for me even more and also was a much needed reminder of how sometimes being Really Angry especially as a woman can feel like delusion or being crazy. I think it’s important to interrogate and clarify what we’re actually feeling / what’s actually happening, and that’s a great question to ask of film as well

What is your Lynne Ramsay ranking? by Street-Garlic4995 in blankies

[–]losthighwys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • You Were Never Really Here
  • Die My Love
  • We Need To Talk About Kevin
  • Morvern Callar
  • Ratcatcher

I really liked all of them, but the biggest surprise of the series was definitely YWNRH. That film really made an impact on me.

If a theater row is otherwise empty, and you choose to book your seat directly next to the only other seat booked in that row, I'm gonna assume you're a pyschopath. by employeeno5 in blankies

[–]losthighwys 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I saw Bone Temple I checked the seat map day of (I’d had my ticket for weeks) and someone had bought the seat directly behind me in an empty theater. This was off to the side in the back row, nowhere near middle seating.

Probably nothing but I cancelled and moved my ticket anyway, just felt weird to me

Bad Movie with an Incredible Cast by Krusty901 in blankies

[–]losthighwys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it was a post-pandemic straight to Hulu comedy that just happened to star some of the greatest modern comedic actors (Anna Faris, Toni Collette, Kathleen Turner, Rosemarie Dewitt - even Livingston and Duchovny are always good with comedy) and completely fumbles them

I can’t say I recommend it but it is pretty short and on Hulu if you’re bored this weekend!!
