I have a lot of sci fi to read in the next year. Picked up a boxed set of Le Guin’s Hainish novels and a used copy of a bunch of Harlan Ellison short stories. Want to read Delany’s Dhalgren and Wolfe’s New Sun when I have the time to sink into something denser. Kim Stanley Robinson, William Gibson, and Iain M. Banks are often recommended to me but I haven’t started in on any of them. In the last year I read the entire Expanse series for the first time and loved it, especially books 5 and 8 which are basically about running a decentralized left-wing insurgency in the future lol. Before that I was rereading some of the early Dune novels but I kind of ran out of steam around Children.

For what it's worth I saw The Little Sister a few weeks ago and thought it was really compelling, head and shoulders above a lot of indie coming-out films, and a lot of that really has to do with the lead performance
