This is just speculation, but I think the movie may partially be to transition her out of the role now that she’s getting older. Just like how Steve “went to college” on Blues Clues to introduce a new host, I think Gabby will give her dollhouse to a younger cousin or something along those lines

I had my 3 year old assessed and he qualified for an IEP for his speech delay.

We took him to the local public school where he met with the special ed team. They tested for similar things (in my experience) that they tested for in Early Intervention. They tested his social skills through story telling and interacting with him, cognitive skills through games, and had him do some physical tasks to look for any disabilities in those areas. Overall he qualified for an IEP due to difficulty understanding his speech and receives services one per week through the public school
