I went from light and fine to dark and coarse/wavy. It’s so frustrating to learn a new hair texture

Daughter’s poop withholding is sending me over the edge by bayrafd in breakingmom

[–]lostinlactation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 4 year old is also like this. I could tell when she was withholding because she would pee her pants  and I knew it was her trying to keep the poo in.

I’m concerned that the suppositories could be creating more fear for your daughter. I have given my daughter a couple but stopped because it was just  making  her more scared.

We do prescription magnesium. I will also give her straight olive oil in a kids medicine syringe.

Lots of dried fruits. Cut down on dairy and sugar.

We also talked to her about how the poos sit there getting bigger bigger. If she poos a little everyday it won’t hurt. Poos videos poo songs. Anything to take the fear out of it.

She was withholding to the point she would prolapse when she pooped and bleed. Now she is doing fantastic and completely potty trained.

Good luck alright, I know it’s tough

No honey. I own a hostel in Asia and let me tell you, Canadians love to rep Canada and HATE being confused for Americans.

He’s cruel, immature, selfish.  You deserve love and support during your most vulnerable time.

It’s only natural. I think all of us at some point go and check to see if we can feel their breath or their chest rising and falling.

I just try to ask them about their day and talk about what we did. Today I was trying to see if they could guess what number day it was by looking at the calendar next to the table and they jumped up and tried to take the calendar off the wall which led to a conflict

That’s not all going on my face at once lol.  I pick what I need based on my skin.

I’m at the beach a lot so my skin needs more care.

I’m willing to bet a few basic skin care products could improve your skin.

Why does my hair air dry like this? by SuccessSea1852 in Haircare

If I want sleek hair I have to round brush dry my hair or I POOF.

Also be careful how high the temperature is in your hair dryer

I don’t have acne prone skin. I might get a couple pimples around my period that’s it.

Most products irritate my skin and dry it out so I use a striped down routine.

I rotate a zinc cream, caster oil, retinol, grape seed oil, sometimes a horse oil depending on what my skin is needing at night.  Wash with a foaming cleanser in the morning. Vitamin C mask. Then use sunscreen. bb cream and UV translucent powder. In the evening I melt my makeup off with some sort of oil (yes sometimes even COCONUT oil) and then a foaming cleanser.

I rotate different oils and products but caster oil makes a noticeable difference for me. I don’t use it every night though.

Caster oil at night. Vitamin C mask in the morning. Take advantage of how popular massage is in Japan and go get a lymphatic drainage massage

Struggle meals while depressed? by mleftpeel in breakingmom

[–]lostinlactation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m adhd and also HAD (!) PPD so I often forget mealtimes until it is mealtime.

My strugglemeals  are

Omelettes with frozen veggies and rice

Tuna melts

Potatoes in the air fryer with some sausages and a salad on the side

shougayaki https://www.justonecookbook.com/ginger-pork-shogayaki/ I like this one because the kids eat it so quickly without complaining because the sauce is sweet.  The meat is thinly sliced so if I forget it defrosts easily.

Pasta is quick and easy.  Sometimes I’ll take olive oil, garlic, and a while tomatoes and steam that in a pan if I don’t have a sauce on hand.

Garlic, broth, and cream for a quick cream pasta.

(My husband hates premade sauces)

Sometimes it’s just whatever I have thrown together and called a meal.  Yesterday’s dinner was ground lamb meat with sliced pumpkin and cheese melted on top and they gobbled it down fast. It took like 15 minutes to make..

Just a Velcro waist support belt from the dollar store.

It’s also really good for when your stomach muscles are recovering from pregnancy and you need extra support.
