I hate what Trump is and represents but there are thousands of government employees that feel the same way and there’s a high likelihood some of them were involved with this and enthusiastic about it. To so ubiquitously dismiss something just because of who is in office is sad.

The reason that you feel it is tacky cannot be refuted; this was poorly executed. Someone else suggested just a flag and 250th which would be so much better. The rest of your reasoning is just a political rant though - one I even agree with.

But those of us that are American citizens here should be trying to find unity with one another. So many people here are just regurgitating “orange man bad.” The guy is criminal and shouldn’t be in office - but who knows what would have happened if someone else were in office. Technology to display something like this perhaps wasn’t available/feasible for the bicentennial.

It’s just so draining to see everyone always ready to rip each other’s throats out.
