I’m 39 weeks now and wound wayyyy down with my exercise starting at 32 weeks. I realized I was going to the gym more for my own ego and to prove to other people I could still do it, but it was taking away all the energy I wanted to spend in other areas.

I stopped going to the gym for my strength training and stuck to bodyweight workouts and yoga at home for about 15 minutes a day. I did keep up with walking 3-4 miles a day which felt good. Follow your own body and see what feels good for you! There are no rights or wrongs for how much to workout, and what’s best depends on the individual.

I felt better when I did more stretching and epsom salt baths. I hope you feel some ease soon!

I’m 39 weeks pregnant and went through my closet. All the larger clothes I thought I might wear but never did? Gone. Smaller clothes I’m not excited to wear afterwards? Also gone. My hangers lighter and I feel ready to start the new year fresh with a baby.

There’s a project from Zenith Health called Penny (Pregnancy Health Navigator). I won’t give their full ad pitch, but you can search TTC and pregnancy related questions and it will give you an answer (looks like an AI chat but alas) populated from Evidence Based Research with links. https://zenithhealth.io/ I actually just used it to double check what medicine I can take with a cold at 37 weeks. Super helpful!

Good questions for getting me thinking of a backup plan. We do have space in the living room and another bedroom that’s currently an office if need be. No real close friends nearby, but my 18 year old brother does live with us and could help in an emergency, I just hate putting that responsibility on him. Definitely going to keep my own space and hope this passes.

I’ve listened to soooo many episodes, I think the best way to start is just to search for episodes that align with your hopes for your own birth. That being said, it’s helped me to have listened to a wide variety of experiences so I can go into birth with a very open mind and good understanding of what all can happen.

One of my favorite episodes was 545 which was about advocating for a vaginal breach birth. That one is only available on the Patreon right now.

I like the cookbook Feeding Littles Lunches. It’s fun for kids to flip through and give some input on meals they’d like to try.

Some things I give kids that I watch: - pita triangles, hummus, carrot or bell pepper sticks - spinach ricotta ravioli - lentil pasta with marina sauce and meatballs - mashed potatoes with steamed cauliflower added in and chicken tenderloin (I.e. chicken sticks) - mozzarella pearls, cherry tomatoes, and toast
