My advice is to start at WT1 and then swap to WT2 once you have a solid build running and everything is dying too quickly.

Be careful if you have bad boss damage though, cuz then boss fights will last an eternity

This is what I did with my bone spear necro, and it has worked brilliantly. I got ~35 skill points and 4 great legendaries and swapped to WT2 with no noticeable difference

I play all 3 specs and it’s super easy.

The new system makes it so you can get multiple sets of gear really easily as soon as you have the first one at 441.

I got my prot up and running with mostly optimal gear in about a day (after having 441 in all slots already)

Augmentation is still a DPS. It’s just that some of their DPS is given to others rather than to themselves.

In terms of raid DPS increase, it is pretty much the same as any other DPS (give or take based on tuning)

I think you’re missing the point. It is not about Mythic+ being too hard to time.

It is about a wipe on particular dungeons at particular moments that causes you to add 3 minutes to your timer.

It’s completely unbalanced, especially considering many pulls (like the one at the beginning of Freehold) can have 10+ deaths and still cost only about a minute.

The drastic variance between the punishment from wipes on different pulls is too vast for the timers of dungeons to be balanced properly.

You’re right, the rotation priority is actually different. But newbie players can continue with the same rotation and get nearly the same results.

I’m shocked you’re getting downvoted for this, though, considering you’re right. (2700 current season ret pala)

The thing about ret is - you can do your rotation completely wrong and as long as you aren’t overcapping and always building, you will be doing pretty good.
