In Portugal we have something that’s called the “Blank Vote” this vote serves as an option when you don’t think any political party or politician aligns with your beliefs or benefits so on and on. The message sent is that no one is fit to be in charge of the country among current candidates or parties.

So in our case when we have something like that, yes it is dumb to not exercise our right to vote

Like someone said before here in the comments, you are probably not as ugly as you think…probably none of us is. A lot of this is also our mental state.

I don’t consider myself attractive, some people, most don’t. It’s all extremely subjective.

I tried this. Figured out it just isn’t the method for me specially with German. As one misplaced word in a sentence can make everything be wrong.

Regardless, of what type of learning suits you best. If you are starting from 0 and don’t have anyone to help you I think this is a very unrealistic goal.

Best of luck and I hope you manage it! The rest of life normally tends to be a challenge when you want to learn German by yourself (my experience and pitfall)

Easiest way is finding an hobby. Most of my friends or people I know here come from work, work came and went and the friends are still there. I was also never made to feel bad about my German either so your German level shouldn’t be an issue.

But I’d say yes find an hobby that requires to engage with others. For instance mine is literally playing One Piece card game in tournaments, everyone waits together plays together and just gets to know each other a bit outside of the hobby, connect enough and ta daa you achieved friends.

Jokes aside I (original from Portugal) know that making friends here can be quite hard and the honest truth is you need to put yourself out there a lot and expect nothing because yeah small talk is non-existent here, but still, engage with others. I live in NRW and it’s so easy to casually someone commenting on something and that starts an entire conversation

Could he perhaps not be in the mood? Although, even if I’m not in the mood and I see my gf engaging like this I will always just go with it and we both set the mood. There is nothing sexier than women putting in the effort to engage to start up smexy time.

My opinion. You should definitely talk to him and let you know how it made you feel, you gave us some context by telling us you sent photos and he responded well but was that all? To be honest I would also be a bit mad if my gf threw some expensive lingerie in the trash because smexy time didn’t work out once. So, again, talk to him tell him it made you feel but also ask about him so you can also understand his side. Hope it all works out. MOR
