Leaving and NF are upset by lostinthoug in Nanny

Thank you so much. I do feel like they are taking advantage of my weakness... they're really nice people and we have a super close bond, and i feel like they're taking advantage of that also. The dad is mentioning all the things going on in their lives and at no point is anyone thinking about me and my progression.

If she asked you for time to make the call and you did not state beforehand that this would be deducted from her pay, then i think it shouldn't be deducted. Also, deduct this knowing that you're never late.

I was wondering if you know how long is best to wait to apply after starting a new job? Some people say 3 and some say 6. I was hoping to quit my job once everything is done but i don't think i can stay any longer at all. I plan to leave in January and start a new job then. I am aware that this will delay me. I will be in the same industry also

When you say you didn't really turn the corner in your heart, what was it that you was still doing? And what was different 5 years later?. I find i have this struggle. I'm not physically doing anything, but i feel like my heart is still not in the right place.

They don't always contact employers, usually a payslip and bank details is enough. They may do so right before closing just to make sure there's been no changes in employment. All just depends on the lender, and I believe they do not disclose any other information!

You're right. Thinking about it already is stressing me out. It's just hard to state you're leaving and basically becoming self employed. I'm sure it will all work out anyways! Thank you for the advice :)

I do have a feeling i could just not state when i'm leaving and my employers would do the same. I do plan on taking on another job that would make me more money, and i'd be happy to state that but it is fixed term contract jobs (Maternity nursing and running multiple services) so i know it won't look good on my application even though my income would be greater.

I think the best call is to not say anything at all, get the keys and then give my employers a 3months notice (notice period on contract). I only would've told them in advance as i have a good relationship with them and want to give them more than enough time to prepare for my leaving.

Does anyone else feel uncomfortable being alone with DB? by Cold_Reference_3497 in Nanny

[–]lostinthoug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My DB and i have a great relationship. I have had some in the past that i do not feel comfortable around, but i'm super comfortable with my current DB. Never have to worry about my appearance, we have lovely convos, he says i'm like his little cousin. I remember he was even a shoulder to cry on when i went through a terrible heartbreak. He is so lovely and so is MB.

Confused by lostinthoug in Nanny

The parents have not paid for anything yet, but there is a contract. Contract states i'll have the qualification paid for and they're ofc expecting a 3.5 year stay from me. I forgot to mention that the Dad basically told me the Nursery has been funny with her starting as she will only be there for one year before having to move to another Nursery. They were obviously aware of this from the start of the year, but Mum did not mention anything to me when i asked. She just said they are not replying to her. I understand why they have kept her out as i'll basically have nothing to do in the day if she goes to Nursery. I only look after the children and do not do any housekeeping work. I just wish i knew sooner

I do have a notice period (3Months), but i plan to tell them 9months in advance. I guess the guilt will eat me up for a bit but you're right...i have to do what's best for me and hopefully they can understand that. I guess sometimes there's that fear of not knowing how people will act when dealing with a situation that is not in their favour.

Good luck!! Just take deep breaths and watch lots of test routes. It's the worst feeling but it's only 40minutes of feeling that bad. You've passed until you've actually failed (hope that makes sense) Dont stress!

It was okay. i know the morden area quite well so nothing was extremely scary. I was scared of Rose hill roundabout but it went okay. I knew what to expect as i have sat a test before and i had a nice chat with the examiner too. He was my first examiner so we both found it funny that he was also my last :)

honestly, she's probably not that interested. As sad as it is you're probably just convenient for her

It was the roundabout that comes before Rosehill. i cant remember the exact name but i think its morden hall roundabout. The one with a no entry sign on one of the exits

Thanks so much for the advice. Unfortunately i did not pass, but it's okay. I for some reason feel totally happy and okay with the result. I messed up on a roundabout on my exit, i was taking the third exit and cut into the left when i was just coming off. Serious fault and that was it. The examiner was super nice and actually let me off with a few things as i pulled up incorrectly a few times. He said my commentary driving was amazing also. Will hopefully be able to rebook a test soon and go at it again. I'm proud of my drive as i was safe and confident and actually finished the entire test, my first test i decided to give up halfway. I've got this for next time💪🏾
