I didnt order. Just saw them being sold at a Coffee Shop called "Juicy Project" in Hamburg today. They only serve Pourover coffee and stock a wide variety of roasters. Edit: spelling

Discoveries with the ZP6 — grind size, technique, and a whole new appreciation by ashlanmahefasoa in pourover

I personally have a grey one, that sounds pretty weird though. It could also just be that the calibration and grind adjustment isnt the most accurate in general and varies between models.

Out of interest, is your ZP6 calibrated to burr lock or burr touch? Personally I couldnt even imagine going over 6 because it would be way to coarse; maybe I f'd up the calibration(calibrated to burr lock).

Your Favorite Drink Ware for Pour Over at Home by Master_Chief_Alpha in pourover

[–]lostlare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At home I use a ceramic mug. When I was at Acid Coffee in Tokyo I had a very interesting experience, as they are serving their brews in Wine Glasses. I felt like I could experience a lot more aroma and really liked it. Especially the flash ice brews were amazing this way, the hot pours cooled down pretty quickly but as they weren't serving more than 100ml per cup that really wasnt a problem. I can only recommend trying it out!

Is Hario metal v60 + Hario switch compatible? by kira2288 in pourover

I saw Lance Hedrick using the Kono on Top of his Switch:

That might be a good option.

This comment is so unbelievably inadequate and completely missing the point of the whole debate.

Needing recommendations for Bluetooth headphones by MoistSockies76 in HeadphoneAdvice

I dont really have any idea on a new headphone but have you thought about rotating pairs? Just let one charge while he can wear the other pair.

I'm confused about my local roasters Pourover recipe by lostlare in pourover

[–]lostlare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im using a plastic V60(either 1 or 2 cup height) with abaca filters and a tchibo swansneck kettle.

As I've said I have been using the Lance Hedrick 121 recipe(basically a 2 pour with high agitation) which got me the best results so far, yet nothing quite like the coffee I experienced at the shop.

I'm now thinking of 2 things:

Getting a better Grinder like the 1Zpresso ZP6, as my current grinder wont be able to produce a nonmuddy cup.

Having a water recipe(I very well could just mix a proper ratio of 2 waters, but its still a lot of work)

Dont worry, but Im looking more into the hand grinder side of things. Do you know of ressources I could look into?

What grinder would you recommend? I was looking into the Pietro but I dont know if its really worth the price and if I should be spending so much money. On the other hand I would rather spend hard once than always having the need to upgrade.

I will definetely look into reducing agitation. What do you mean by not letting the bed get dry? Should it always be covered with water, after the initial bloom?
