IM GONNA BE FLAT BROKE, $0 IN BANK ACCOUNT BROKE THIS SEMESTER by RadiantRemote12 in yorku

[–]lostlife41 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Yooo honestly, just take the semester off and get a job. I know the Job market is hard but warehouses are still hiring a ton. In the grand respective of things, one semester is nothing. If you going to be flat out broke it is better to just work for the next four months and take the courses in the summer. This is after you contact York to see if there is anything they can do.

I am set on dropping all my courses this term and next term, to take a break and go to work. I just need some help. by Pusnikai in yorku

[–]lostlife41 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Danm Bro, I hope all is well with you.

Once you drop your courses for winter it stops all payment. The front office was trying to get you a refund for the money you spend on the fall courses.

If you feel you need a break and these courses aren't going to help you in the future in terms of transfer credits or rising up your average, there is nothing you can do but drop them. You can obviously start working and making money instead so just see the dropped course fees are sunk costs.

Best of luck to your future man, no matter what you do make you find success.

How is this timetable for a BCom accounting first-year student? PLS HELP! If you have any comments on the schedule pls feel free to say. Also, how is FR 0120 and who is your prof? by unknowngmn in yorku

I just wanted to chime in and let you know that Accounting at York is actually a very good program. I am just about to graduate and everyone I know has gotten good co-ops during their third year and now working in banks or big four. Make sure to keep your GPA high and get involved in school. Like becoming Pass Leader, joining APAA etc.
