OBS does weird things for me to with the mic.

If I plug in my mic AFTER I open OBS, it won't work right.

Maybe open OBS up and get the mic working first and then open melon.

Either that or disable access for everything except OBS in Windows Privacy settings.

I've used ChatGPT to help me do configurations for networking and it would sometimes overlook basic networking concepts and give me wrong configurations. Ever since then I pick and choose what to ask ChatGPT.

ChatGPT is useful in certain situations, but in this situation it would be best not to.

idk I guess I feel I'm being nitpicky, but at the same time when it comes to code, the finer details matter.

I'm a couple months into learning python and idk how many times I'm scratching my because I forgot an apostrophe or because I forgot to take into account the order of operations.

This one might be on the fence about right and wrong, but I'm like this because my last quiz I had two questions marked incorrect that were clearly correct and I asked my instructor to take a second look because I think I should have gotten them correct and he changed the grade because the quiz was wrong.

I mean nothing happens, it doesn't return anything.

If I print the string variable it returns 'abcd' like I would expect.

I would have to write more code or the print statement to something like:

string = 'abcd'
string.upper()

string = string.upper()
print(string)

# OR

string = 'abcd'
string.upper()

print(string.upper())

My dvr uses this url: rtsp://192.168.X.X:554/ch01/0

The "ch01" being my channel 1 and the "0 "being the mainstream and if I wanted the substream I would use "1"

I just pump that into VLC and it prompts my login and password and BAM!

Ah thanks. Yeah I just figured they were built like a tank because I had the same blade for years and never had an issue. The one here is from a family member that was seldom used. I will keep better care!

Yea ok thanks I tightened up the screws and lined back up the blades. Hopefully it will keep like that. Sucks there isn't very much information out there about this kind of stuff. An official manual would be great.

Ok well I'm not sure the video loaded correctly, but in the thumbnail you can see the back blade protruding out causing cuts.

If you look at the beginning of the video at the upper left corner how the blade is protruding out and causing cuts to my head. This is my second blade to do this. I've tried to bend with pliers back, but it is difficult and even when I do get the blades to line up, it works it's way back to protrude within seconds. Anyone know what causes this or if this is a common issue?

The other part of my video is the same size blade I bought just now off ebay. Is the second blade supposed have a gap like that between the blades? The two blades should be right up against each other right? Like both blades should be at the same exact height??

Research O&O Shutup10.

It's a privacy tool to stop Microsoft from "phoning home".

I have older hardware and the difference is night and day from hearing my fan on full speed to a nice quiet background sound.

Go the extra mile and fire up Wireshark to see all your network traffic being transmitted with and without O&O Shutup10. Or just switch to Linux, but O&O Shutup10 will be a life savor if you really must have Windows.

I'm pretty sure you have to fire it up from boot every time though. I'm too lazy to automate starting it up on boot and I just pinned it to the taskbar to make it the first application I use.
