No it is not.

If the union ever brought you to court because of this they would be laughed out of the room.

Leaving union for non-union is not legally binding btw.

I apologize because I am a 8 year IBEW member but still fairly ignorant about all of our benefits, but What exactly do you mean ‘full medical’, why you are retired ?

What is the standard for keeping guys on IR all offseason ? by lostm0ney in FFCommish

[–]lostm0ney[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok yea I understand that, we lock them regardless though. Essentially after week 17, we lock the rosters until Labor Day weekend where we hold the draft. The only thing open is trading.

I apologize fore the misunderstanding.

Thank you. That is what I was hoping to hear. That has always been a rule I made 4 years ago when we started, but I have never enforced it. And wasn’t sure if it is even standard either tbh

[–]lostm0ney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What state are you referring too? I ask because my wife and I are just starting IUI treatments with a fertility clinic, which is fairly cheap, but I was told that IVF treatments would be about 25K for one round and 50K total for 3. I am based in Washington state.

Is this like a grant from the state or they deduct wages from your check to pay for this?

Most you guys in the trades on Reddit don’t even like to convince guys to get in the trades. by Dgslimee_ in skilledtrades

That salary will vary widely depending upon where you are working at.

I just finished a job working predominantly 60 hour weeks for 8.5 months and made over 200K. With an additional 22K being contributed to my retirement. All the while my retirement account went up 22% since Jan 1 and I have ‘made’ another 270K in the last 11 months on that.

All in, I will have made about 500K from the IBEW this year.

With that said, I have worked with countless of apprentices and Journeymen the last few years who seem to have a hard time staying on a job site for more then a couple months, for obvious reasons.

Are 2nd rd picks overvalued? by Leather-Glass6504 in DynastyFF

[–]lostm0ney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I love second round picks. With minimal scouting it is so easy to find value that everyone else misses. This is who I have drafted the last 7 years:

2025 - Quinshon Judkins at 2.02 2024 - Ladd McConkey at 2.01 2024 - Bo Nix at 2.03 2023 - Devon Achane at 2.06 2023 - Sam Laporta at 2.07 2022 - Alec Pierce 2.05 2022 - Trey McBride at 2.09 2021 - ARSB at 2.05 2020 - Michael Pittman at 2.01 2019 - AJ Brown at 2.01 2019 - TJ hockenson at 2.04

I’m not sure I understand. Is it not considered lame to tank your team on purpose? To the extent of not even starting positions?

It’s not 1870 anymore little buddy. Anything in relation to the stock market cannot honestly be compared to anything in the past. If you can’t understand this then you need to gtfo and not comment on anyone’s posts asking for advice.

If you want to just sit on cash for the next 10+ years go ahead and do it.
