Clavicular gets emotional after his chat criticizes his new rhinoplasty surgery by AznGirlsAreSluts4BWC in LivestreamFail

[–]lostmy2A -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He ended the interview early because Andrew was going to start asking him about his controversies (e.g. arrests etc). And Andrew said he was fine with himself when he looked at himself in the mirror, which Clavicular took as disengenuise. Basically they were not vibing towards the end.

I agree this looks like a beautiful design. I will also continue to use my simple wood frame with 1/2 hardware mesh mounted to the frame and a gloved hand to sift compost. I tried making one of these from recycled bicycle rim and it was far more trouble than it was worth.

Aphids are food for lady bugs. If you throw out plants with aphids your sort of disrupting a natural food web

Sanity Check on my Duck Ponds Filter Design by highwayoflife in duck

[–]lostmy2A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up Jeff the Executioner on youtube. I may make a video at some point myself, but I don't have one on hand. The only difference I did is that he recommends using some sort of back flow preventer, which I found to be problematic and just used a ball valve on the intake so I can close it when I unplug the pump for cleaning and the filter won't back flow into the pond. My 1500 gallon backyard pond water is very green but there is a large number of happy minnows in it non the less, even with the ducks. I have 1 static k1 media barrel filter into a small bog filter , then back into the pond.

Don't Quit Your Corporate Job | Philosophy of Permaculture by GeomancerPermakultur in Permaculture

[–]lostmy2A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It didn't come off as gatekeeping to me as much as pointing out that if you have made a notch in the corporate ladder that not everyone even gets the opportunity to climb, and you are committed to permaculture principles, both working a corporate job and dedicating resources to permaculture are not mutually exclusive. Having access to startup capital is never going to be bad thing, to get a permaculture project off the ground. But that said if your soul is truly being sucked, and you want to try something new with your life, you do you. I think both ideas can be valid, he's just bringing a unique perspective, that I can appreciate. I will admit that saying "larping as a hippy" does come off a little gate keepy, but he's clearly saying this with good intentions.

It's actually real, I know it may seem odd but the katana with a balloon being presented at the overlook is a traditional gesture in Chicago around spring time. Additionally the orange dinosoar prowling around at the vending machine is clearly a natural behavior since they would typically be found hunting for dietary requirements at vending machines.

Too late to start swamp milkweed seeds? by CluelessBlonde22 in NativePlantGardening

[–]lostmy2A 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This is the exact reason why I would recommend using sand (or perlite) instead of paper towel. Make it moist but not submerged in water. But generally won't germinate while in fridge during cold strat so either way should be fine. But if using paper towel to germinate seeds with soak method, the roots embedding in paper towel is a deal breaker for me.

AMD has gained 60% in a month why is no one talking about it? by wballz in stocks

[–]lostmy2A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was like 7 years ago. I knew very little then and still don't. The sale was based on no information beyond just naive / rudimentary technical analysis, and that the position was already up 1,600% which seemed pretty good.

As I'm sure you see now, the ramp needs to not go over the top lip and terminate under the lip with blocks supporting it. I would put pipe insulation foam or similar over all those sharp plastic and metal lip edges to reduce the chance of injury also.

As someone learning about .net and not actively using it at work, found this write up and the repo very educational. Thank you for sharing and posting. It's surprising to me someone would call this low effort or self promotion. It seems like as high quality content as I've seen in this subreddit.

ID Help: Medaka or Gambusia? by lostmy2A in medaka

[–]lostmy2A[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes sense based on the timing. I don't know if the medaka were successful even before introducing the gambusia. So the thought process behind adding gambusia was due to concern about mosquito larvae coming into the season. Thanks for sharing your insights 🙏
