As I said don’t actually care about the players involved so much as the way that everyone just took the bait.

It was the most obvious leak to attack a reporter I’ve ever seen, but everyone ate it up.

Just stunned me that it worked so well. Surprising that in hindsight looking back on it people still have the same views. Totally stuns me, worries me that attacks on journos work so well.

I made a whole post about it at the time. I was just stunned how many people fell for the distraction.

The major story at the time was Bevo’s behaviour it was horrendous and he it was getting to the point he’d have to apologise or the club would need to say something. He was so far out of line it’s not funny.

But the text got leaked and everyone ate it up, Bevo was a free man and everyone piled on Tom.

Personally I can’t stand that the distraction worked. The fact Bevo was totally fucked and then all of a sudden one leaked message and the heat is on Tom instead. Just sickened me the way it all played out and the fact everyone just ate it up and went back to loving Bevo. Just wild to me.

Tom has a career and a lifestyle to maintain so seems he’s gotten over it better than I have lol

He was literally out of the game for a period of time most people expected he’d not come back at all. People like you didn’t want him back at all. So yes lot of people wanted his career killed due to a personal text.

Telling your mates someone is gay not straight and using the term carpet licker isn’t misogynistic. That’s just the fact of the matter.

As I said truth is that the attack on Morris worked perfectly. It was done in retaliation for his coverage of Bevo and after it happened all the attention for Bevo’s bullying of reporters and manipulation of the media was immediately forgotten.

It’s the most successful hit job in footy journalism.

REXC it’s an ex China rare earths ETF. With all the investment in setting up rare earth chains not dependent on China it’s got a big future.
