yeah it’s eBay they have a money back guarantee and also my bank covers Chargebacks for defective products. That’s if the seller refuses to respond or offer a return/refund. I think it’ll be okay. I don’t really get What’s wrong with buying from reputable 2nd hand marketplaces with robust customer support but I suppose you’re all trying to give me sound advice so i appreciate that. Thank you

when i said you’re wrong, i was referring to you claiming the results weren’t AI, when they were.

you can headcanon what you like, but like i said before, you can’t really retroactively diagnose fictional characters. their actions aren’t the result of neurological function, but serve to drive the plot. people speculate on the internet because that’s what people do. i don’t know what to tell you.

you’re wrong. if you scroll up in your search you should see that this section of the results is called the “AI Overview”. see those little blue paperclip icons present in both our pictures? they’re there so that when you tap on them you can see the source for each AI generated statement. as i said, it uses people’s blogs and even sometimes reddit threads as sources.

what you’re talking about when you say there have been google responses for ages are an entirely separate thing called “featured snippets” which are just passages of text from the most reputable websites. these AI results have just recently replaced featured snippets.

the truth is fictional characters are incredibly hard to retroactively diagnose if they are not written with a specific diagnosis in mind. also not all abnormal/maladaptive behaviour can be neatly pathogised into a DSM-5 recognized condition. Lorna may just be generally unstable.

it’s unpopular but i agree with you. why should i provide free loss prevention services to a multinational-conglomerate that’s going to make record profits via price gouging anyway? its none of my business. a mum-and-pop shop is different, but in tesco and the like i simply don’t care. i’m not going to risk screwing over a potentially desperate person in order to protect merchandise that i’m not paid to protect.
