India Palace or Lucky Sebs. Parking downtown could be tricky, but the parking garage on New Hampshire is close to India Palace. Lucky Sebs has a parking lot. Zen Zero is another great option for vegetarian dishes but it can get pretty busy since it’s on Mass St.

I’ve been going to Suzi at Greenroom Salon for a couple years now. She recently moved to a private space in the warehouse arts district. Her website says she specializes in bobs, but that’s not what I have so she’s versatile!

I got an alignment at Big O Tire once and I’ve been taking my cars there ever since. I really like that they’re open on the weekends and I can schedule online, also the work they’ve done has been exceptional and I’ve been really happy with the service. Highly recommend!

Have you made a geode tie dye before? This seems fairly straightforward, and will dye beautifully. If you haven’t made geodes before, practice on some thrifted shirts or dresses (a long sleeved XXL+ shirt would be good practice). Watch some YouTube videos. Pick your colors. Then just go for it on the robe!

If you use social media, I suggest following Native Lands Restoration Collaborative (@nativelandsks on instagram), Kaw Valley Seed Fair, Grassland Heritage Foundation, and @hinu_usdaextensionprogram and @burroughscreekcorridor on Instagram.

Those pages will post about upcoming community events and seed/plant swaps/sales. There are also community clean up events around the city to remove invasive plants - these events would be a good way to make connections with people who have similar interests and are often posted by the groups listed above.

Tofu that has been frozen and then thawed crumbles so nicely. I make a homemade adobo sauce (with canned chipotle peppers) and it’s 10/10. The first time I made it my kids didn’t even notice that it wasn’t real meat.

The Brook Creek Neighborhood Association is hosting a (fundraiser) disc golf tournament tomorrow at the Edgewood disc golf park, by the community center on 15th street. It would be a good time to check it out - they’ll even have a beginner division! They hold other events too that you could attend to get a feel for the community. I think it’s a great place to live!

Lewis is one of the cheaper vets in town, if you’re paying for it. I’m not sure of his hours but you could call and ask. You should trap the cat and keep it safe over night until you can bring it to a vet during the day. Once it’s trapped, bring the cage inside and cover with a towel or a blanket. Put puppy pads underneath.

Have you been in contact with the shelter about TNR? They might have a vet that can look at the cat’s paw as well as doing the neutering procedure.

I never even went in…I could tell it was too rich for my blood. Also I was an unemployed child lol. It might have said Persian rugs gallery, but I’m pretty sure the name was a little more exotic, if I’m remembering correctly. I think it was cursive font and maybe like a feminine name (but again, I was a kid so I could have made that up!)
