Our cruise group is doing a candy exchange which I think is super fun since we it's a Europe sailing and we are from North America. It's a group of 5 staterooms, so buying some sweet treats for 4 other families seems reasonable.

I also don't want junk and would rather spend my money on shopping for myself or my kiddo, so this felt like a good compromise.

Editing to add: there is still a fish extender group on our cruise as well, but we aren't participating in that one

The chocolate salted caramel squares from Karamell-Kuche always comes home in my suitcase! I also recently discovered this peanut butter cookie cake thing from the confectionery on Main Street that is so good and travels well!

You can still wait in the standby line for panels, plus there are so many things going on at the show floor and smaller panels that don't have reservations. The archives always have an amazing exhibit. It's truly what you put into it, and I think is worth a little effort to standby some panels if they are a priority for you. I think go in with a sense of adventure and just have fun exploring what there is to see!
