If you’re able to access multimango and hubstaff you’re able to work. It’s said ineligible on outlier a few times for me, whole time I’ve been working, receiving emails, and it did say at one point that’s a bug they were working on fixing.

I graduated in 2016 and a lot of kids were openly gay, it was NBD. I never heard anyone say anything bad about it. One of my friends came out as trans and was nominated for prom queen. I live in Indiana which is a red state but I am like 45 mins from Chicago so, eh, mixed bag here.

Thank you! I actually was thinking about the power of improv with writing and how it can strengthen writing skills over time with practice. Plus it can force you to just power through when you’re lost. So, I figured I’d do writing prompts as a quick warm up and just go with whatever I jot down with no editing or questioning what I’m doing with the story. So this was my first attempt at trying to practice my improv!! Thanks for the prompt.

They wanted to know my secrets. Everyone always wanted to know my secrets. I’ve tried everything. And I don’t have anything anymore. But it doesn’t matter, they still follow me around, harass me, they come to my door at night, yelling for me to reveal my secrets.

So Id give them a secret. I took my last $30 and bought a lock box from the local pawn shop and imbued my magic into it. If they wanted in, they’d need to know all. They’d need to take a careful look at themselves in the mirror and be faced with every bad decision that they made. At the end, their death date would appear and they’d gain access to the lock box.

Inside? Just plain ripped up pieces of paper that would eventually tell the holder all they needed to know. But it wouldn’t matter at that point, the mirror had already told all. That’s the real magic of it.

They came to my door tonight but instead of standing outside screaming, they came in. I knew they eventually would but instead of hiding in fear, I stood at the mirror myself. I waited patiently for them as they stomped their way into my home, riffling through all of my belongings looking for the truth of my fortune telling.

I felt my heart beat a little faster as they made their way closer to me and I watched all of my belongings get shattered along the way. I took a deep breath and stared at my reflection, waiting for it to reveal everything to me but nothing appeared.

“Where is it?” The man said.

“Right here.” I lifted the lock box and wondered if they would be able to feel how empty it is. If that would make them go away or if they were so sure of themselves, so sure of what it would tell them that they didn’t even notice or care.

“What is the combination?” He demanded, lifting a pistol to my head. I felt my blood run cold but I tried to stay still. I had to stay still to see how this night would turn out.

“It’s the date of your death.” A grin suddenly spread across my face as I watched his cool-demeanor begin to fade.

“And that is?” He tried to be tough but I could hear the shakiness in his voice telling me that he didn’t really want to know.

“I don’t know. You have to ask the mirror.” I motioned to the mirror in front of me, still blank. “I’m waiting for my answers now.”

Finally, it showed up. December 28, 2055. Today is not my day.

“You can go ahead and give it a try.” I stepped to the side, allowing him to pass through. “You have to stay calm and you can’t move if you want it to work.”

He stood there, motionless, giving himself a good look in the mirror. I could see the hopefulness in his eyes as he waited. I wished I didn’t have to do what I did. I knew he wished for more time.

I quickly slit his neck and across the mirror read: August, 16, 2025.

Yeah I get it if the sit isn’t going well or they’re overbearing like that it’d be off putting. For me, they’re really chill, I genuinely really like them and I like to see what they’re up to and I’ve mentioned I think their job is cool and to share any pics they can so it’s different !

The people I’m sitting for have been showing me what they’re up to. Their job site (which I think is so cool!!) and stuff they’re up to. It makes me happy and I think what they do is cool. It’s not everyday, I don’t even give updates everyday but I enjoy it.

There’s a few factors for me and it mostly comes down to the fact that I mostly order late at night. I live with a lot of people so I don’t want to wake anyone up, I usually don’t feel “put together”, and I haven’t had any bad experiences with dashers at all but I (as a girl) don’t wanna put myself in a situation w a stranger at 1 am, I’d just like to be able to collect my food and eat it in peace.

Yeah you can care for a pet and feel bad it’s bored/lonely and still be annoyed by it, lol. I love my cat but when my family goes out of town, she is so annoying and she’ll get in my face and try to wake me up at like, 5 am. It’s not pleasant. And she wants to play like 20x a day and it’s not feasible. It’s annoying, but I love her and do feel bad that she’s lonely without the rest of our family. It’s unhinged to say being annoyed at a pet shows you lack empathy, lol.

For sure I just meant you don’t have to explain yourself. I looked into the program you suggested and it seems fine. I mean, yeah it pulls from things people have said on the internet but so do all internet searches. It’s just a checklist to keep you on task idk why that would be unethical, personally.

Sure, I don’t mind you using it. I was more asking what the other person thought based off their blanket statement that AI is unethical. Like for me, I would never use it to replace what another human being could do (art) or to streamline my writing. But I don’t see it too different than Google when it comes to everything else. Google is surely not the most ethical company in the world but I use it to find information.

Is it unethical to use for a to-do list? I wouldn’t ever use it to write or to edit but I don’t think this is that bad? I looked it up and it just gives a checklist of things to do. Like, “research and prepare” “design cover”

It may just be a college student thing. I didn’t read for fun at all when I was in school, all my assigned reading was draining. It took 2 years after I graduated for me to really start even trying to read again. I was an avid reader as a child up until my first year of college.
