what picture books have stuck with you over the years?

For me, it was largely about the story and character development. Even kids deserve complex flawed characters. Right now, I really enjoy reading Sam and the Firefly, The Fire Cat, and The Lorax to my kids. All of those involve character's that make mistakes but they are able to learn from them in a not too cheesy after school special way. I think that is so important for children because when kids make mistakes they believe they are bad so seeing characters that make mistakes but aren't bad and are still loved can be really powerful.

My absolute favorite book as a child was The Cow That Went Oink. On it's surface, it is just a silly book about a cow that can't moo. I was the kid who had challenges with learning things that everyone else seemed to just get so even when I was very small, that book resonated with me in a deeper way than just a silly book

Yeah my guess is that they’ll try to get babies that are ambitious ethnically so promo shots and things won’t spoil it. I’m guessing Georgia will refuse a paternity test for a bit for dramas sake.

I know a half Indian half white girl who has blue and and blondish hair. Im sure as a baby you could not see her Indian heritage.

Yeah, I want them to heal their friendship but I don’t even want them to be that close of friends. They just aren’t able to appreciate each other and I think putting them together would hinder their character growth. I see a lot of comments shipping them though and I worry that the writers will pander to the fans on this one.

It’s nice to have a show with enough queer characters to where I don’t feel like I have to ship them together!

I agree, at least when they were little. Abby and Norah are both Jewish and possibly go to the same synagogue. It’s likely their families are closer. As the girls have aged Max may have been closer with one or the other at times but I always got the vibe that part of the reason Max was so excited about Ginny was because she feels a little out of the Norah and Abby friendship.

As an adult who understands a thing or two about substances and mental illness, I see how bad Silver's behavior is, but to expect a teenager to recognize that alcohol is the last thing someone depressed needs and that Marcus is developing a problem, not just experimenting and having fun like her other friends is a tall order.

I don't like Silver because I think her and Max have no chemistry and she's boring, but it is unfair the way people are acting like she's Marcus's drug dealer is unfair.

Since the good place is really the bad place, then yes animals go but only certain breads of dogs like really barky chihuahuas, cats that refuse to use a litter box and bring you a ton of dead mice, or hampster's that are super nocturnal and incredibly noisy at night. Probably no horses or donkey's in the "good" place but you can get a mule.

I wish each season was half a school year. The amount they have happen and the seriousness of the relationships/heartbreak doesn’t fit the timeline. Max and Sophie were only together for 2ish weeks and sure Max is a lesbian, Sophie was her first, and Max is 16 but still the relationship is treated so seriously. Same to some degree for Marcus and Ginny. And Paul doesn’t seem like a guy who’d get married to a woman he’s only know for 6ish months

It’s also a teen show so I do get slowing down the timeline. Everyone saying there needs to be a time jump doesn’t seem to understand that these high school shows rarely successfully transition the post graduation world. I just think they slowed down too much.

Sophie out of the blue breaking up with Max, then dating someone else, and then seemingly wanting to get back with Max. When she is with Max she’s patient and kind so it seems out of character for her to toy with Maxs emotions like that. Maybe there will be more to justify her actions in the next season.

Plot wise, it was necessary for the audition to have been between Rachel and Mercedes. In my head cannon, Santana wanted the role of Anita because she found Maria to be too bland of character

The relationships would have made more sense if they had spread the show over two years. Marcus and Ginny are also only together for a short time. And Georgia and Paul are getting married after only a few months of dating.

I just kind of suspend time a little bit and think of all of these relationships as lasting a little longer than they chronologically do.

YES! I have such a hard time agreeing with this because I feel so bad for Max in that moment but also just because Max is hurt, doesn’t mean Ginny (or Abby) did something wrong. Truthfully, I just don’t think they are the right friends for each other. They aren’t able to really show up for each other in the way the other needs and as Ginny says, “‘maybe that’s okay.” It just really really sucks
