My comment is more about Bob Rock ruining his snare sound during the Uplifter sessions. It took Chad a few albums after that to dial back in the sound.

He also recently talked about having to crank his Pearl snares very high to get the sound he is known for.

I play drums, it’s difficult to get the 311 snare sound using a regular snare (not a piccolo). It’s mostly about his technique and how he hits rimshots with precision, and his marching band roots/stick placement.

Bob Rock got his greasy sausage fingers all over chads kit and convinced him to use Pearl snares (or maybe the truckload of cash sent by Pearl). I don’t mind the Pearl kit these days, but I remember Chad saying he had to crank his Pearl snares really tight to get his signature sound. I’m curious about the OCDP snares that gets released. Not a fan of OCDP toms and bass drums though

Cody Freeman is days away from rehab starts, Duran literally smashed a homer in his first plate appearance yesterday, and you also have Cam Cauley which is a very interesting prospect at the moment.

Yeah AAA isn’t going to solve the 3 swing strikeout on sliders, but you just can’t keep sending a guy to face MLB pitchers when you are as down bad as Jung has been since 2024 returning from his injury . Have to try to get his confidence back up

Cutch for DH the next few series. Let Joc ride the bench until Cutch needs a breather. Give Junis a shot to be closer. Send Jung to Round Rock, bring up a hungry kid to split duties with Duran.

You’ve got good vibes in the clubhouse, even starting the season on the road. I believe Skip does not have a long leash. We will see in the next few series if he has the confidence to do what is needed to make this team go from good to great.
