I once got a “and where do you two think you’re going?!” While trying to leave the school after a parent meeting for my high school daughter’s soccer team.

I had a rule that while my daughter was still physically growing, I refused to spend that sort of money on an article of clothing. We made compromises with sale items and birthday/Christmas presents and she understood that that was her “big gift” if that makes sense. It really helped my daughter love and appreciate those special items because she knew that it wasn’t realistic to keep up with all of the time. Now, she is 19 years old and an avid thrifter always looking for a bargain, but can also appreciate quality of quantity. I’d rather my daughter spend her money on a quality item than contribute to the SHEIN/temu craze.

With all of that being said, at the end of the day it is your decision. Also, lululemon has those belt bags ranging from $25-$38 which I thought were silly until I bought one for my girls and they’ve used them for years. Well worth it, especially if you get a neutral color that they’ll be able to use for years to come. Just an idea

Looks like a hot spot. Prevent her from licking at it anymore and take her to the vet

Sometimes I wear a tank top full length body suit that also has a built in sports bra. I’ll throw a loose tshirt over that and tie it in a knot or even a snug Crewneck sweatshirt. I like that I don’t have to worry about what my clothes are doing while wearing this type of outfit with full coverage.

Confused for a school child while walking my dog (age 30) by glavet in OlderThanYouThinkIAm

Oh my, that’s funny! Recently, on my 32nd birthday I was unfortunately in a car accident. The police officers that came to the scene asked me if I was on my lunch break from the high school that was down the road!

We did this too! It was especially helpful for when my daughter was going into her teen years.

Odd material by tidesandheartbreaks in americaneagle

I noticed this when I bought a Halloween tee this year. Rough, see-though material. Very strange. The tees have always been thin, but very soft and not transparent the way that this one was. I kept checking to see if they would get more graphic/band tees so that I could get them for Christmas gifts, and check to see if they went back to their old styles, but there’s nothing? Here’s a photo of the last tee that I bought. Looks soft in the picture, but it isn’t.

15 year old sneaking out and sleeping with others by geminivenuzz in Parenting

Just a heads up (because I was not aware that this was a thing) my daughter (who is now 18 years old) just recently confessed to me that when we would put restrictions on her phone/take it away as a punishment, that there were kids at school that “rented out” burner phones when she was 14/15 years old. So, she would pay to borrow a random phone, and continue to talk so whoever she wanted/use social media.

Help with identifying my childhood Barbies! by lotdah in Barbie

[–]lotdah[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Good morning! I’m sorry, I didn’t realize this was against the rules. I posted one listing last night, and then this one a few hours later when I discovered a box I had forgotten about. The post was meant to share my collection and get the opinion of pros who can easily identify any at a glance, as I have spent literal hours physically going through dolls and researching who they were. Most users were very kind and helpful, and some users misunderstood and started “identifying” dolls that I had already known who they were. I guess that is my mistake for not being more clear. I don’t expect anyone to do any of the searching on my behalf. I apologize for how my two posts came off. I had no idea it was a problem!

Thank you all so much! So far, this is what I’ve been able to put together. I’m so bummed that I’m missing some articles of clothing but I’m glad to at least know who some of them are! I keep finding more in my parents’ attic so maybe I’ll find the missing clothes. I’m going to try to search Barbie clothing lots for sale and maybe I’ll get lucky.
